Amazing sir , i am from India . i go here to where for physical interpretation of vector space but i am not satisfied. After long time i saw your video and click on it , hence the result is satisfaction. 😊 Thank you sir, clear all the mathematical physics like this.

Nice explanation. However, you did miss adding zero to something that does not give you zero, but, that something. I wonder if you could give a short explanation of Tensors? Keep up the good work.

I think there was a little bit of a mix up. The set of polynomials of degree 1 is NOT a vector space. Because you can always add a polynomial ax+b with -ax+c resulting in a zero degree polynomial which is NOT in the set of polynomials of degree one. Which is why it is said the set of polynomials of degree AT MOST n is a vector space. Not exactly n.
@@PrimeNewtonsOK Sir . Sorry I didn't see that Also can you please tell me what vector space inner products are and how they are used in Quantum Mechanics ? Thank you.

❤ Thanks so much Sir. I was really stuck n stressed
Sir you have the most important thing that students want in their math teacher: a beautiful handwriting ❤❤❤
I agree. He is a very good teacher also.
This is such an excellent explanation of a vector space! Every time I watch you, I want to go back to teaching. You are such an inspiration.
Wow, thank you!
Excellent teaching sir.
Check existence of additive identity
u+0=0+u=u
Additive identity 0 in a vector space, keeps the members of V(F) unchanged.
That was bugging me, too. it must be u
exact!!i noticed it too!

Isn't it for 3) that 0+u = u+0 = u (aka neutral element for addition)?
Just what I was thinking....
Such a good explanation ! Thank you !
Thank you for this video! I don't understand why real-life teachers can't explain like these UA-cam teachers.

What is your academic background?
isnt the zero vector such that 0 + v = v ?
You are correct. That was a mistake. He explained correctly, though.
Sir please make a video on subspaces
Do you make videos in your classroom? Do you teach college or high school?
Almost all videos are at home. Rarely elsewhere.
You have a blackboard in your home. How wonderful! I may have to get a board and start making some videos!
Currently, It's mainly high school but also college.
Would the complex number set also qualify as a vector space too?
Yes. A complex vector space.
indeed you demystify maths and make it easy
So sad I just found your channel this morning
Welcome!

The additive identity property should not return 0; rather, it should return what is being added to 0.

2:02 set
On item 3, I think u+0 = 0+u = u, not 0.
Addition of polynomials of degree n is not always a polynomial of degree n.
Correct
could you please check 3rd operator, i think it should be u + 0 = u + 0 = u not 0
Yes, I pinned a comment to correct this.

Mistake in axiom: 0 + u = u + 0 = u, NOT 0 as stated in the lecture.
Hmm, you should not use the same sign for scalar and for vector addition... It is not the same op. For #7
check 12:20
