      It's b/c of his somewhat bizarre 1 + 1 < 2 skillset.
Lebron likes to score and yet not steady at shooting so he drives to the rim a lot, which then collides with his C / PF teammates that play in the paint. So he drives to the rim for easy / fastbreak points or kicks out to perimeter teammates to take tougher long range shots. If you are Love or Bosh then bad luck for you as you'd have to vacate the low post positions and move to the perimeter and wait for a pass from Lebron. If you play with him you have to sacrifice your game to fit his. Not a whole lot stars wanna do it.

He was sittin' there with ONE ring and LeBron had ZERO rings! So the whole James, Bosh to Miami was Kobe-inspired and he's still short a ring (Magic, Kobe, Duncan 5 rings) despite WS - walking and stacking!

To their side of the argument, it can be argued they could have had 3 early rings if they played with prime SHaq too. Kobe is 2 for 3 without Shaq, 2 FMVP out of his 5 rings(and a strong argument Pau should have won 1 of those FMVPs). So it can be argued Wade needed 1 more as the star and 1 more FMVP to be on Kobes level and Bron is hard to pin because he basically has all of his with superteam ups that we fault Kobe for with playing with prime Shaq. Obviously Wade, AD,Bosh,Kyrie, Love aren't near prime Shaqs level, but Wade, and AD are not that far down the all time greatest talents list.
For me, getting those 3 early rings with prime Shaq was a blessing and a curse for kobe. Teaming up hurt not only LeBrons case, but it erased DWades case. DWade got his ring with a rapidly in decline Shaq and old stars. Trust me, when LeBron plays with former superstars around the same age, they say they were too old and dismiss it as help for LeBron(Dont forget G6 against Boston, Shaq as leBrons teammate outplayed LeBron, hell even Big Baby outplayed LeBron. Bron was like the 6th best player on the floor).
DWade won FMVP in Jordanesque fashion. Obviously the Heat were at a point of rebuilding and going through some bad years with some injuries to Wade, but i think if they signed Bosh and some strong role players, and a good backup and some load management for Wade, Wade could have carried the Heat to possibly 2 more as the star. Remember he was the best player on the Heat against the Mavs loss. He had the Mavs number, and if you replaced Bron with another good all star to do the dirty work, i can see Miami winning. OKC is a dub too with Miamis vets just outplaying the kids.
In Kobes arguement, if he didnt play with Shaq, he'd have way better career stat totals and stat chased like young LeBron too and proved he could carry bums pre Gasol post Shaq, but both with same results-no rings.

2012) Then what about out West, Spurs & OKC... & out East, Boston, HEAT & Pacers.
2013) Out West, Spurs.... Out East, HEAT, Pacers & the Bulls. Even if the Cavs could have put a team around Lbj, do you really believe he would have beaten the Spurs (think back)???

They should have beaten the Celtics his final year. The following year had the Cavs added missing pieces to make up for losing Shaq, West, Big Z and Jamison (he was hurt the next year), then they could compete. We just don't know who those missing pieces would be.
The cavs couldn't sign anyone because Lebron didn't let the Cavs know if he was leaving or staying until the very last minute. I just find it funny how people act like Lebron is innocent. The Cavs had the best record in the NBA, they lost because Lebron underperformed against Boston while also playing zero defense.
The Cavs with a few added pieces could have beaten an aging Boston. After Boston you had the Derrick Rose Bulls and the Pacers.

That's if he stayed in the Eastern Conference. It's quite possible that he doesn't make the Finals at all, if he went to the Western Conference.
I keep LBJ below Jordan because he got swept twice, surrendered two 2-1 leads and got gentlemen swept twice in the Finals. He has Finals record below .500. Jordan never allowed a game seven in the Finals. LBJ is still an all-time great. Just not the GOAT.

We are mostly adults here. The myth of James needing to learn how to win is nonsense. Learning how to win comes from failure and hard work to succeed. He learned how to win by running off to Miami to play basketball with Dwayne wade and other all star 1st rounders. Then he went back to Cleveland to win one championship before fleeing again to Los Angeles to play in and win one championship after getting more all star help with great bench support. It’s becoming evermore apparent that Lebrun is not an all time great but a good player who played a long time and scored a lot of points and collected other stats and amassed a lot of losses and excuses along the way.

Once Kobe retired the NBA and mainstream media had to create a narrative to create numbers and welcome the GOAT argument. In the end I think there’s a generation or era GOAT and then there’s all time lists. In the end: Russell 11 chips (in 13 yrs), Kareem 6 chips (20yrs), Magic 5 chips (13 yrs), Kobe 5 chips (20 yrs), MJ 6 chips (13 seasons) lebron 4 chips (20 seasons). So GOAT argument.. The bulls were an 8th seed multiple times when Jordan was on the team. They traded up for Pippen. And it took three freaking years for those draft picks to pan out. Was Lebron going to sit and wait for draft picks to develop under him? The Answer is a big NO based on his track record.
The real issue is Lebron and the way he structured his contracts. After his rookie deal, his contracts gave him wiggle room to break. Meaning he wasn't committed to the Cavs long term. And any NBA player with a brain saw Lebron, Wade, Melo and Bosh all restructure their deals to become free agents at the same time.

And KD going to Golden state is far worse than LeBron going to Miami, heat was a get together, could of not won but KD literally joined a championship team off back back finals appearances. Never been a LeBron fan but I can recognize his greatness, always seems to have been a good husband and father. The only thing lebron did that really bugged me was the decision itself and then "not 1, not 2, not 3, ....."
