Soy Curls are so versitile. I would love to see you do other recipes with them. And seasoning the water was a great idea. Getting all the flavors in each step of the process! All this shot on your phone!?! Wow 👏👏👏🌱💚
Please make more of these videos. I am going through my kitchen trying to make something new since we are all at home these days. Having variety nowadays is golden. Stay safe! 🌱
Yeah I'm always using just a portion of something and have to figure out what to do with the rest. Like I hate mayo but I get it just for making some tuno once in a blue moon.
I don't have soy curls, but I thought about using some left over potatoes that I made for burritos last night. I wonder if that would work? Thanks for sharing. Looks delicious!😊
This looks like a really good meal. Great video idea would definitely like to see more videos like this Chris. Some of the best stuff I've created was from random stuff in the fridge and pantry. 👍👌🌱✌
Yes! Just looked up butler foods site and I actually may be able to find soy curls near me. 🙂 Also found out they're the ones that make Sam's Harvest Jerky. It's not my favorite but still pretty good. 👍
When I drain pasta I frequently add fresh spinach. I tear it up a little before adding it and then stir it around. I sometimes add frozen spinach to my rice a few minutes before it's done.
Melissa 👋😄 I have put it on everything savory! Start with a little, maybe add more because it's salt. I found it was a great addition to salsa or anything with tomatoes.
I love this vid, love the old-schooley style a lot! Great recipe as well, we dont have soy curls over here, we do have soy chuncks so they probably work the same. Bought them weeks ago to try, maybe this is the time for that ;) Keep 'm coming 'n stuff Chris!
Soy curls are amazeballs. I made a bbq mushroom sloppy joe with them that was superb. Wish I could afford them regularly! Can you please do a favorite tempeh recipe of yours. I have a bunch and need some ideas. OH also, I have one can of jackfruit from forever ago, after failing at my first attempt at something edible. Love your channel! :)
3 years ago. better late than never. I will try this dish tonight but i will place the soy curls mixture over the noodles and cook my spinach separate. looking forward to enjoying this recipe.
😋 I want to try this thank you again I love your vids it's always realistic and educational but interesting I'm proud to be vegan and I'm leaning more and more each day
Just ordered 3 bags of soy curls from Amazon , not sure why the local stores don’t carry them. Great staple to have on hand especially if the zombie apocalypse comes soon.
Hey Chris, I just saw a video from vegan bodega cat where she went into a Trader Joe’s and was filming without any problems. I don’t know if it’s because it was in California but I think they’re all corporate shouldn’t they all have the same rules? Anyway great video 🙏🏼
I liked the video. I like making stuff with what ever and I liked what you did. I will try this. I save your cooking vids. I will copy this dish. The soy curls look great.
Curious to see your jerky recipe. I have never used soy curls, thus far, , but it seems to me that Louisville jerky is probably made with soy curls. Super duper expensive. I only buy them on super duper sale. I'm in a horrible living situation where I'm not doing any cooking, but maybe someday...
I wish soy curls were readily available in Germany - it is basically soya textured vegetable protein which you can get in Chinese and Indian shops here so I might flavouring them the "Vegan Zombie" style LOL
Love your video but please could you stir with something else? Hate the metal on metal sound!! Finding it hard to watch! Please!! Thanks, keep up the great work otherwise.

Love this style of cooking, not just for Coronapocalypse but to use up and not waste what you might have sitting at home.
Yeah I'm always using just a portion of something and have to figure out what to do with the rest. Like I hate mayo but I get it just for making some tuno once in a blue moon.

Melissa 👋😄 I have put it on everything savory! Start with a little, maybe add more because it's salt. I found it was a great addition to salsa or anything with tomatoes.

Not all liquid smoke is vegan? Oh shit I thought it was 😳 (I’ll google it, thanks)
Just use Colgin. It's the best anyway and they also have apple wood, mesquite, and pecan beside the standard hickory.
Trying this asap!!!!
I liked the video. I like making stuff with what ever and I liked what you did. I will try this. I save your cooking vids. I will copy this dish. The soy curls look great.
Lol I do that every day eat random spices and stuff in food.
Soy curlz for the fucking win
Who sings the intro, “Cooking with the veegan zommmbbiiiee”? I can’t tell if it’s Jon or Chris.
Jon!

Butler soy curls are made from the Whole soy bean not a protein isolate.
We're can I find the soy things!!!!
Different natural food stores and online. www.butlerfoods.com/soycurls.html
Chris are you using defatted curls, the one I bought here in my town i defatted soya chunks ... are your curls defatted
Butler soy curls are complete whole soy beans.
Looks bomb af btw 🤘🏼
BIG LOVE FROM SYDNEY I can get soy squares its similar to the curls i think. Sally
Life's too short to always be following a recipe. Easier to fly by the seat of our pants.
I wish my fridge like that dammit 😭
LOL what a spaz
What makes liquid smoke not vegan? I thought it was just smoked wood. Is there something hidden in it?
No, I believe it's the process it goes through. Colgins is vegan and so is Wright's.
Your so awesome . I hope you make videos forever
You should do a cooking program or create a cookbook 😊
Robert Pachino don’t know if I’m missing a joke here or not, but there is a vegan zombie cookbook! The ebook version should be on his website
I do want to make a second cookbook for sure.
@@zacharycohen89 I am terrible at making jokes 😉
