Here's what I've been doing after hearing MAGA low information MORONS insult Harris in disgraceful ways (including an otherwise polite neighbor):
1) So far, I've read 5 books by former Republicans to see their perspective.
2) I always vote and Harris|Walz will get my vote.
3) Even as a retired 78-year old, SO FAR, I have contributed $140 to the Democrats and I will donate more in the weeks to come -- THIS election is THE most consequential election of my lifetime and felon Trump MUST LOSE!
It's good to see Mitch Landrieu, a Louisiana (cajun) man who believes in fighting to keep this Democratic Republic as hard as it may be.
Sorry, I have to make sure credit is given where it's due. Landrieu is from New Orleans (my hometown) as were both his parents as far as I remember. I don't think there's any Cajun there. His dad, Moon (yep, his real name was Maurice but he went by Moon), was in politics his whole life including being mayor of New Orleans as well. Mitch's sister Mary Landrieu was the US Senator from Louisiana for 3 terms. I think politics are in the Landrieu blood.

From back in the Barack Obama days, I’ve often thought the biggest failure in the Democratic Party was not having a public relations campaign, or a advertising campaign, touting the accomplishments of the administration
the notion that successful administrations/legislation/etc. will always "speak for themselves" hasn't been true for a long time. EVERY political/policy accomplishment, no matter the scope or scale, needs advertising. the party needs it very badly.

I had never heard of Mitch Landrieu until today. The Democratic Party needs to put this man out there front and center spelling out Kamala's plan for the future. He can explain to the average American how the Republican Party is cutting you and how the Demiocratic Party will heal the cuts.

THANK YOU! I've been screaming this since covid! 1 example: I'm 2 blocks from James's house, a 12pk of coca cola used to be $2.99. It went up to $12 now it's 'down' to $8! Then you hear phone convo's from stockholders saying 'no reason to lower prices, our profits will stay high'. TELL ME 1 reason that a drink should go that high¬ come down! The average uninformed America has no idea what the infrastructure bill has done for this country. I agree with Mr. Landrieu; Kamala needs to run prime time ads in swing states with real Americans talking about what the current administration has done for them.
Thank you James! This is pure gold. Mitch is underrated. He's very smart and an excellent speaker. I happen to love both the new MSY and UMC hospital. I remember when Katrina destroyed old Charity and they were using an old hotel for a hospital and an old shopping mall (adjacent to the Superdome) to run their clinics. Never thought in a million years these projects would have completed so fast. Interesting fact. Both the old MSY and Charity are still standing. It's been a while, but I think the rental car center is where the old MSY stands.

I am retired and living in the Philippines. Mitch mentioned price gouging and pills. In America, my wife was paying 72 dollars a month for birth control. In the Philippines, the same pack of pills is less than a dollar. Go after big pharma!

Proof of price gouging at grocery stores is soooo easy. Compare prices on milk, bacon, eggs, etc between Trader Joes and the major chains like Safeway. Safeway's cheapest bacon is 8.99 and the fancy stuff is 12.99. Trader Joes is 4.69 and 6.99. You can get a gallon of budget milk at Trader Joes for 40 cents more than a half gallon of budget milk at Safeway.

High speed internet is a racket here in Arkansas. They said it was for the poor in rural areas. I'm sure they got money from the government. It is very expensive so how can those in poverty, like me get it? I don't mind using the internet over the phone lines but they are threatening to raise my bill 30%. I just had to drop my house insurance because I can't afford it anymore. I am 69 yrs old and totally alone. I live 25 minutes from town. My internet is the only connection I have to help in an emergency. I want to move to another state where the elderly are treated better but how do you move without money? I am recovering from malnutrition. I think about suicide all the time but hold on for my pets. They are all I have. I hope the new administration will help us old people. I know I am not the only one in this situation.
Do you have a CSO office in a town near by? They help seniors alot. Many churches in Hot Springs have food pantries maybe there is one near you. You may qualify for SNAP?
Call your Reps, if you get a connection. You can get free or reduced internet. Your Governor should be a Democrat.

I have news for you. I live in a working middle class neighborhood that has a lot of corner stores. Once they got wind of prices going up from the media it gave them to go nuts with prices. Little things with huge increases a roll 75¢ goes to $1.25 overnite and never comee back down. People say its just a roll. Multiply those numbers by 100s of products. The government is talking a big game now after the fact.

I know to have the factories re-tooled cost big business. Maybe they got s tax deduction. But packages are not inly smaller, there is less product in them.
