This is exactly what I fear. I have grown up with these people all my life and when Trump loses, they're not gonna take it well. They were supposed to rise up when Obama was voted in but it never materialized and now they feel that Trump is their last hope. I don't know if they're going to be able to accept it after he loses.
We can't really predict what they would do.
My wife grew up with these people, too, in a small Texas town, and she said it best: “We we’re witnessing their last grasp hold onto power.”
They have a plan that involves states they control refusing to certify and pushing the decision to Article 12 and the SCOTUS which they control.
After they get in power they will unleash violence on all of us and the government will belong to them.
They're not going to and so what. They'll have a temper tantrum and then end up in jail. The reality is the magatards are a fringe minority. It is NOT "half the country" whatsoever. At this point, the entire republican party is about 45 to 50 million people max. Trump has lost 49% of them and never getting them back. This number is based on the 2020 registrations/votes for Trump which was 42.3 million, whereas the rest of them either voted for some other party or didn't vote at all...and rounded up.
51% of 50 million is 25.5 million republicans who are all in for Trump.
Of the 25.5 million, about 15% of them are the magatard extremist bunch, and 15% of 25.5 million is about 3.8 million people. We can even round up and consider them the entire user base of Truth Social, so 4.5 million people.
For perspective, New York City alone has 8.9 million residents.
So all that'll happen is they will refuse to accept it, have a tantrum, do illegal sh!t, get caught, convicted and thrown in the slammer.
This is my fear too. If Trump has NPD (which I believe he does), he will be emotionally unable to accept defeat. His rhetoric will turn violent again - and this time it will likely be worse because he's losing his grip on the Republican party as well.
Be alert and brave. Do not worry about what Trump will do when he loses. Worry if he wins. No matter what, vote blue. 💙💙

I actually think if Trump loses (and his subsequent election subversion attempts fail), then Republican leadership will move on from Trump. The base will temporarily be left without someone at the top and will have to find a new demagogue. Carville was careful not to drop names, but I'll mention DeSantis and Cotton as likely contenders. I don't think people like Hawley, Greene, Gaetz, and Boebert have the capacity. Whether the party can move on or not depends a lot on whether the base can reconsolidate around a single leader. If that happens, the leadership will fall back in line.

making this Biden thing all about age is just wrong. His acuity wasn't the problem, his moral compass wasn't the problem, his command or understanding of the purpose and value of NATO wasn't a problem, his understanding of the economy and how to improve it was never a problem. The only problem folks have with his age is a matter of perception. He stammers a bit more, and takes a bit more time to control his speech impediment when speaking on the fly and responding in real time to questions, but line of reasoning and the points he makes are sound. Neither of the people in this video should be disparaging Biden based on his age. Both for reasons of their political and ideological stances and their own chronological age. No one was asking Joe Biden to run a 4 minute mile or solve the true definition of what 'gravity' actually is. But the things we needed him to do - he did better than any past President since WWII.

I don't know - I don't know if people will be willing to go to prison for Trum this time around and have their lives destroyed and possibly their families torn apart, as has happened to many of the J6 convicted criminals. I totally agree, and I too have advocating that for years, the beauty is that it would NOT require a constitutional amendment and also preserve giving the smaller states more say.
People are already working on a way to solve this problem that doesn't involve changing the Electoral College. Watch Robert Reich's podcast, the Koffee Klatch. It gave me hope.
The current Republican Party knows it cannot win without the current form of the Electoral College. Changing it would require a fight to the death.

As Presidents go, I was all for Biden and consider him the best since Franklin Roosevelt. I hated all the double-standard media and libs for piling on, to kick him out. But I welcome the hope and joy, and think it means that we people (Dems) just want a RADICAL CHANGE--we hate the GOP, but we're also fed up with the established Democratic business-as-usual. (Obviously, it's our fault, for not voting!)
