Same dawg, saw a geezer think she was in reverse, hop a parking median with both axels, and plowed into the ice cooler outside the grocery store I worked in during hike school. Was funny as fuck (once we saw she was ok physically) but also real sad seeing how embarrassed and helpless she was. Geezer definitely needed to be somewhere with more help but you never know if their familial and/or financial circumstances make that impossible
@@stupickles2463 we knew my grandma was done driving when she got panic stuck in the median used to cross into her neighborhood, it was a highway with 2 lanes one way and 2 the other way, you turn in wait for traffic then go, im sure shes done that shit 1000x before but for some reason just geezer'd out and panicked... some guy had to knock on her window and she was shaking like she didnt know where she was or what to do.

It is sad that old people all have an internalized sense that it is bad to be old, so they’re all very embarrassed and mad to be deteriorating. Plus, people don’t perceive their own deficiencies so it’s not until they’re being told by someone that they’re inept that they even are aware of how much ability they’ve lost.
The hardest part is that you have friends/peers of the exact same age and they're fine. Really sucks when you look/act 10-15 years older than your big brother etc. Especially true around age 80, you have people doing long distant biking etc, and their sister needs diapers and a walker to get around. Aging isn't like growing/maturing. It isn't a predictable downward slope, it's super random. It's like falling off a cliff at random and then you're just stuck there waiting for the next drop, it can be next year or 15 years later you never know.

i remember i got into accident and broke my jaw like 6 years ago and my mom calls insurance like yeahhhh its cool your covered cuz i needed surgery asap, she gets okay they run thru everything works out heal up leave 2-3 weeks later... i or she calls i forget but they want some documents like police report before they will sign off on bills and payment, now i got hospital, individual surgeorn side bill, and dentist bills... they were supposed to be like 80-90% covered i just owed like 2500 to dentist and some stuff i requested being at hospital but yeah they kept fucking around the insurance, now we need this... no thats wrong one we need your full dentist history WHATTT i gave you a police report, yeah we know but we need the full dentist report or we wont payout, this went on for like 3 months and now i got collections notice and hospital calling i tell them and insurance to talk they never call hospital now they wont speak with me... i had to get lawyer to take them to court and we pull some slick shit that just absolved me of anything and made the collections stop for like couple years and at that point i only had like 1-2 years left on the statue of limitation for when it just clears out and they cant do shit but by the end they wanted a FULL medical history report ordered from this service in Atlanta, any dentists i remember going to to call the insurance, the surgeon finally called on my behalf like why are you needing all this shit... ohhhh well our team has determined that the accident doesnt match the injury and this must be a
"pre existing condition"...
BRUHHHHHH WTF?! i got into an accident police signed off on me getting taken to hospital in report they wrote what happened the surgeron literally talked with me within an hour and my face was all swole up bloody coming out my tooth and shit and these fuckin OMG they pissed me off😤😤😤

My dad is gonna be 64 this week. In the last year he has gotten 2 speeding tickets and 1 more will get his license revoked for 60 days. In the last month he has also bump his truck into a light pole in the store parking lot, and bumped into the rear end of another old beater truck in traffic, but the other driver (he assumed had no insurance) decided to let it be. It just sucks to see he's getting old and his skills are starting to go away.
