I saw that there was no video of this new machine yet, so I wanted to get one out there. Hopefully I'll get a chance to look at some of your other machines and also get deeper into this one in future videos.

It was awesome to watch you learn in real time to stick weld! It’s encouraging for me to keep trying!

Glad to hear it! I need to get an iron worker from work to come show me the technique for the stick weld. Man, is that frustrating! When it worked, I'm not sure why it worked! We just started our 4 week maintenance shut down working 12 hours, so i may not have time until mid November, but damn it if I'm not going to learn stick. The Tig, that shouldn't be hard. This machine, with high frequency tig start, is easy. Just remember to open the gas valve 😂....

I’m like you, strictly MIG experience and only negative “sticking” stick welding experience! I’m looking at the Arccaptain 200 and 205 pro, do you know what the difference is between them?

The Mig 200 is totally different, far more feature packed Mig, lame Tig and the same money.
The Tig 205 Pro is an extreme value and a price point design Tig unit that doesn't do all 3 processes like the Mig 200 does.
The Mig 200 does Mig, spool gun support for Mig, lift arc (yuck) Tig, and stick. It does not have high frequency tig start, it does not allow for a for pedal Tig control, it does not have Tig down slope nor does it do Tig post flow.
The Mig 200 is pointedly geared more to the Mig process, while the Tig 205 Pro is not only pointedly designed for Tig, it flat out doesn't give you a Mig option.
Both MSRP at $349, and both are pointing at very different buyers. I already have a production class Thermal Arc Fabricator 210 Mig, so the Tig 205 Pro makes sense for me to add, as it brings higher lever Tig experience.

I have the YesWelder DP200 pre-ordered through the Kickstart program. It's Mig, pulse mig, dual pulse mig, lift start Tig and stick machine. It's obviously catering most to the Mig process, but at $439 in the Kickstart campaign.... I couldn't say no. I did also order the foot pedal, spare Mig gun to keep the included graphine liner in and the $99 welding cart at the same time. I'll be sorting that one in mid to late November when they begin shipping.

I just looked at the reviews on Amazon, there are 4 total reviews on the Tig 205 Pro, 4 are 5 stars, 1 is 4 star. The guy giving a 4 star, he does so while writing a many paragraph review explaining that for $280 is a great option, but it's lacking AC, pulse, and the required regulator.
So I'm not sure where you see the bad reviews on the Tig 205 Pro. This is a just released model that's not even listed on the arccaptian website to register the warranty yet.
