SP3 intel i3 here. Was successful in updating to win11 using an 8GB USB Drive and the media tool link in the description + the registry modification. There are a LOT of updates to install after you log in, most of them pertaining to Surface-specific hardware drivers, but I was able to use the touch screen and Windows button even while navigating the welcome screen. While running through the windows updates, I did lose control of the mouse via touchscreen at one point, in which case I was already using a bluetooth keyboard already, so that's something to look out for. Could have been a fluke as things were a bit laggy while things were getting installed in the background, though, because rebooting to finalize the updates resulted in everything working as expected.
I haven't been able to use the official surface keyboard via the bottom serial port since I updated to win10 1903. I was hopeful that updating to win11 would help this out, but it did not. Seems the issue might be elsewhere instead of being OS-related.
