Surface Go Series has been my go to laptop for years now! Portable, pen support and great for media consumption. Remote desktop is very good nowadays. Using this as a client I don't see much point having a beefy laptop anymore when I can remote into a desktop or other more powerful machine.
I put Tiny 11 on my Surface Pro 3 and now it's as fast, or even a hair faster than my Surface Pro 6 for the basic stuff. That was quite a surprise. So I'll probably put it on the 6 too.
Tiny 11 seems fantastic. Just be wary that it's not developed by Microsoft, so 3rd party analytics collected from your device will be floating around on the web with unknown security,
Hey thanks for sharing this and I find it helpful even for other older gen surface like go1 and go2. Just wanted to ask as for the Tiny11, the file downloaded in .4x extension whereas i see most videos its under .iso is there a specific software we need to use to unziped it?
I'm such a p//ssy with stuff like this. The benefits are significant, but my paranoia of something breaking in the future is just too strong. Sidenote: What are your thoughts on using a Surface Go as a tablet post recent Moment 4 update?
I have read there is heating issue in some versions of SG2 and SG3. Would you pls specify about it? I am planning to buy either SG2 (Refurbished) or SG3 (New) for basic use like word/excel/you tube viewing as a secondary option but don’t want a roaster. Which version should I opt for basic use? 4GB/64 or 8GB/128? M3 or Pentium? Will appreciate your input. Thanks..
looking for suggestions, i performed all the steps and install seems to go through. but keeps taking back to setup menu. ive tried several times with no luck, the install gets faster everytime i do it. im using a surface go 2

I use a Surface Go 3 Pentium 4GB-R(AM)/64GB-S(torage) and when i leaved the S mode, started to run slow, so i'll install Tiny11 when the warranty expires
I have a old surface go with 8GB, I'm trying surface linux using fedora so far so good feel much more smooth than win10 image and I'm looking your video but 3.4 is quite high I'm having the same memory usage with browsers tabs open in edge or firefox, only down side so far I'm not able to make the camera work properly but it's not like I was using it anyways
People give Apple crap for selling models with 8GB of RAM, which I think should be long gone by 2023. However, it is absolutely beyond me why Microsoft ships a devices with 4GB of RAM. Even to hit a price point there is absolutely no excuse to ship a device with 8GB of RAM in 2023 (or even 2018), much less 4GB of RAM; especially considering RAM is not upgradable.
I'm thinking of installing tiny windows 11 on surface go 1. Normal 11 runs fine. I didn't even have to really bother with avoiding cpu support detection. Will surface pen drivers work
From what I see you got the moment 2 update? That means you can update this version even further? Some people said that you can’t so I could decide to get the version or not

Like Microsoft isn't infested with everything 😆
Are you still able to update this in the automatic windows update installer or do you have to wait for a new release and force update?
Hey, could my PowerPoint 2021 key activation still stay and work if i switch to tiny11?

Does it work well for programming? (Mostly web development/design and database management stuff)

So far so good

Well installing now, Samsung Dex would make it touchscreen display for s23 ultra with 12gb ram having the beast released 🎉
A battery test on the Surface would be cool to see with the tiny 11 version if it got like an extra 30 minutes
It seems fairly similar so far, but I might not notice 30 minutes one way or the other tbh.
@@shanecraigtech what do you loose with tiny 11 as compared to normal windows 11?
would this work for my surface go GEN 1?

Can any custom ROMs work on the Pentium surface go 8gb ram

Go 3. 8/128
What do you mean buy a pro key? I have Windows 11 on 4gb and want better performance and tiny 11
After a few tries I got it running on an older tablet pc but the “no system required “ version I installed was the Enterprise version of win 11 😅
every tiny iso has the entreprise version
Hi, hope you see this! Do you think Tiny11 on the 8GB version of the MS Pro 3 can run Photoshop CS6?
Does not having those other windows processes bring up security and stabilty Issues? I wanna put this on my pro 7 tbh.
Excellent video, out of interest could Tiny 11 work on the Windows Surface RT?
what about install windows 10 32 bits, its use to be 1gb of ram, do you test it on the surface go?
Now they just need a tiny google chrome. That thing eats RAM for breakfast lunch and dinner. 😮
What about roms like ggOS or kernalOS
Thanks for the video!
My surface pro 4 has lte, would that work too?
Does tiny 11 works on the surface go 2 laptop?? :)
I use a Surface Go 3 Pentium 4GB-R(AM)/64GB-S(torage) and when i leaved the S mode, started to run slow, so i'll install Tiny11 when the warranty expires
I was going to go to ebay and buy a surface for 100 dollars just to try this thank you for saving me some money.
Thank you for the good and long work installing this for a 12 min video. What do you think about the Surface go 2 M3 processor, 8 ram and 128 Ssd?
Solid device, would be faster than this lol
My touch stopped working... i have a surface pro 4, can someone pls help me
I installed Tiny 11 on my Surface Go 3 but when I login to the computer I no longer have access to the onscreen keyboard
During the first installation just make sure to login with the local account only (not Microsoft account)

I have a surface go 2 with the pentium cpu and 8gb of ram and 128gb of ssd. I tried 11 but it was so badddd I had to go back to 10

To be fair, there's like a thousand dollars between the two devices lol.
Surface pen still works?
Yes

I'm surprised to hear that Windows 11 runs fine on a Go 1.
@@SlyFox247 it kind of does, wouldn't say it's good but i guess you could label it as "fine"
Thanks!
You can clone the Emmc to a Nvm ssd and make that machine good

Yes, it updated to 22621.1344 just fine for me.
Windows update pulled a few apps with it, you should have unistalled them
Surface Duo Phone Link work?
yeah, you just need to install it manually
You can install Tiny 11 on anything? … Duo1?
I actually think you can
Got dang 😏🤳
Me with the 8 GB version:😐
