    Hi guys great video as always.
    Think about what you post with regard to heath and safety, a ladder spanning a roof with a scaffold board and a drop below might get you in trouble with dreaded safety police .

    • @CML_Carpentry
      @CML_Carpentry  3 години тому

      Yh mate I know what you’re saying but there’s no health and safety police on this job.
      Wish there was so we had a birdcage but such is life . Just got to be careful and be safe

    Yeah another fine bit of work, cut roofs are my favourite, but gotta agree. in my opinion rafters should always be at 400 centres, sounds like penny pinching by the developer to me!

    • @CML_Carpentry
      @CML_Carpentry  14 годин тому +1

      Yh mate same with me 400mm c/c no more but the developer is a good guy, but can have trusses at 600mm centres and building control are okay with it at 600mm so I can’t argue with that.

    • @RobNorman08
      @RobNorman08 13 годин тому

      @@CML_Carpentry I'm surprised BC are ok with 600 centres on a cut roof usually they can't wait to find something to moan about on a job 😂

    • @CML_Carpentry
      @CML_Carpentry  13 годин тому

      Nowadays could be 1200mm centres but if you have truss clips on hand cut rafters and hangers on them building control will be happy😂😂

    • @Goodwithwood69
      @Goodwithwood69 11 годин тому

      600 centres is good enough! Thats the point of engineering ! Its a small garage roof 100 years ago it would of all been in 4by2 at 16 inch centres and would be still standing today! More wood doesn't all ways mean more better!

    • @CML_Carpentry
      @CML_Carpentry  11 годин тому

      @ very good point, however old timber has a lot more density and strength compared to the fast grown c16,c24 timber we use today, you cut old timber with a hand saw and new timber you can feel the difference 👍🏼
