Hey y'all! Thanks for caring about my safety, but the angle I had my camera set up on, all you could see was me putting on gloves when working with the resin (which I left in the video on purpose to emphasize safety) - I was wearing protection with the window open and I never let the dogs in my space when I'm working. I've always had all the proper protection especially since I started working so much with sanding wood, metal, and spraying clear coats on wood jewelry. Didn't expect so many to assume that I wasn't wearing all the proper protection! Sorry for not mentioning it in a caption within the video - thought most crafters knew protection in these situations was obvious. Just wanted to pin that here to save you the effort of mentioning it 😅, but yes, be safe! 💜
Hi Tana , I have to say that your design ideas and especially the wording on your key rings - key fobs is truly Wicked absolutely Amazing keep up your absolutely Incredible and Inspirational UA-cam channel
I stick the posts into a piece of foam core then I add a drop of resin, then the bead or ?on top of the resin and then put under uv light.... works really great and no resin next to skin 🤗🤗
I have that same Melody Susy lamp. Don’t use the drawer though. When I first got it I cut a piece of clear acrylic and I stage everything on that and slide that in. It’s nice because if something gets stuck you can flex it to pop off the piece :)
Love watching your vlogs as usual! I did want to make a comment about the resin, I used to work with resin a bit in 2018 and ended up having a severe allergic reaction where my whole body swelled up and I was covered in a rash! It happened after only my 4th time using resin, so I was quite surprised! After this I researched it a lot, and there are some great FB groups you can join that have a ton of info! What i did find is that there are no resins available that are completely food safe (even if they're FDA approved), they are only approved for accidentals (like dropping cheese for a second and then eating it). I'm assuming if it's not safe to put food on, it's probably not great for skin to skin contact. But I do know a ton of makers use this method, so I'm curious what other peoples experiences are! I think I would make sure that resin is listed as a material so it is easily seen by buyers (not in the description because we all no hardly anyone reads the description unfortunately)
Thank you! Oh goodness! I appreciate the information. I see SOO many artists using it. The artist I referenced has over 70,000 followers and has probably sold thousands of studs with resin on the back. So I'm still unsure, but I definitely put it on my description! I literally put don't buy if you've had a reaction to cured resin lol
UV resin is a great medium. I'm also a polymer clay crafter and love the Gorilla glue super glue gel along with the same type of resin you bought. 🙂 Hopefully it works out for you!
Love your vlogs !! Gets so incredibly much inspiration from looking at all the exciting things you create. But where do you buy the parts for your earrings? Both the hooks and studs
Like I mentioned only about 2 or 3 people had complained about the posts coming off. It was a very small amount compared to how many I've sold (assuming everyone whose studs broke actually let me know), but I can't imagine super glued posts to wood would last forever especially if some moisture gets involved over time. It's just an extra step that helps me feel better about the longevity 😊
Another great learning video! Thank you :) I was curious do you have a link to the polymer clay artist's makes? I'd love to see some of that, love your studs!
Hi! For larger text and images I usually use the default sd graphic setting (in this case for medium maple plywood) and for smaller text, I use the HD graphic setting and increase the ppi to about 675 😊
Hey I use uv resin a lot.. and its ok after its fully cured. But just wanted to tell u that while curing keep a window open and put on a mask that is good for resin. And never let the dogs in thats harmful for them. When I started I had no idea about it and have had some breathing problems. Now I use mask and its okie. ❤❤❤
I love your videos and look forward to them every week! For your keychain hoops, when plying them apart make sure to do the movement from your elbow and not just your wrist! I noticed this in a previous video as well and my mind was like ' Oh Nooooooo'! Saves a lot of pain later on -- a fellow jewelry maker
I believe it depends on the resin, but this one is advertised as low odor and non-toxic. You should always wear a mask though when working with any resin.
I want to be like you when I grow up! ..You're way younger than me, but still 🤣🤣 "I got big hands!" Oh, I feel your pain. Dyeing my hair is always a pain, I need to buy my own gloves, and usually they end up being too short in the fingers!
Epoxy 330 is the industry standard when a "glue" has to be used for jewelry... or so I have been told. Like for pearls.. maybe that's the better solution here? I'm not sure, I don't work with wood.. but maybe something to check into :)
When you are working with resin you need to wear a respiratory mask so you wont inhale any of the fume. Because inhaling a lot of resin can make you sick and have difficulty with breathing. So please be careful!

I'm going to add a photo pointing out the resin too though when I photograph the backs.

That's awesome! I've used that glue too and both work great 😊. Thank you!
What type of wood do you use and where do you get the wood from?
Love your vlogs !! Gets so incredibly much inspiration from looking at all the exciting things you create. But where do you buy the parts for your earrings? Both the hooks and studs
Thank you! I buy all my metals from etsy and look specifically for surgical stainless steel.
Did you have any problems with your earings before adding resin ? Thanks for your videos. I learn so much with them.

Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it 💜
Hello, first thing, love your blog, I was wondering do you sell blank acrylic and wood pieces
Hi there! Like precut into smaller pieces already for projects? Not yet but I've thought about it 😊
Yes, plz keep me inform if you decide to

Thank you! The one who shared her supplies is roclayco.com and the ones I'm wearing are from thewatermarkdesign.com 😊
Thanks! 😊

Hi Tana! Does the resin have a strong smell when it’s wet?
I believe it depends on the resin, but this one is advertised as low odor and non-toxic. You should always wear a mask though when working with any resin.
I love your good shelve where is it from?
It's from ikea 😊
Hy.... I just wanted to let you know that I just ordered my new glowforge with your referral code! Dankeschön!
Yay! How exciting! Can't wait for you to get it and I appreciate you using my link 🥰💜

Hey! The email address in the description is correct. Please double check 💕

On Etsy from coverbuttoncity 😊

Oh cool, I'll look into that!
On the succulent ones to make them potty mouth put a cactus on one and “succ it” on the other that would be cute!
Love that idea! 😍
Make sure your resin is fda approved. With some resins an allergy can develop over time but all of the fda have been tested for skin contact.
Awesome, I'll check for that. I remember it saying it was eco-friendly, non-toxic and safe for skin, but I check for the approval. Thank you!
I work with resin all the time please always use protection and use a respirator mask as they are really toxic. Your work is amazing! :)
Thank you! I did! You can probably see them in the timelapses :)

See the pinned comment. Thanks! 💜
I'm not showing my face while working with it, only my hands, so no one can see the mask. Please ask before assuming 💕
Hi love, i just you an email about a pr package I'd like to send you!😊
