    Thanks much for so many methods, I appreciate that you too time to answer many questions, I see you graft them "wet after cutting", where as elsewhere i keep hearing after cutting let it dry, so confused in which case we must dry the cuttings until they end becomes hard, thanks

    I like your video. My question is once you get it growing after the grafting of different varieties, and you want to just take a cutting from the plant will the cutting produce the different varieties automatically?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @CarlzJafran
      @CarlzJafran  2 роки тому

      No. Just give space for the scion (new varieties for grow) and not for the stock. So if you graft new varieties like connie mayer DF with others stock like sugar8 DF. Only connie mayer will bear fruit and not for the sugar8 DF. Hope it helps.
      Unless you want to do grafting to produce different types of varieties in one tree.

    with drill grafting, can you drill from the flat side into the core? Or must we drill from the thin side of the stem?

    • @CarlzJafran
      @CarlzJafran  Рік тому +1

      Drill must connect with stem.

    • @souffle420

      I was trying to graft fishbone cactus into my dragon fruit; only have small space to grow it with ±4h of direct sunlight so I want to maximize the photosynthesis efficiency by adding extra _leaves_ on the main stem (below the branches).
      Some were grafted on the side nodes (by cutting V-shape then drill grafted them just like in the video), and one was grafted to the flat side of the stem with its core stabbed into the dragonfruit's core (via drill grafting too).
      The one grafted on the side nodes grew faster than the one grafted to the flat side of the stem, but both has successfully grown new leaves.
      Actually surprised the later one actually succeed. I thought we can only graft either through its nodes or cutting and grafting its core… 😅

      hello there!...
      Nice to hear that grafting dragon fruit it’s so much fun.
      Firstly place the grafted dragon fruit in the shade area for two weeks and then expose it to the sunlight only in the morning about 15 days. After that you can put your plants under the sun to grow well.
      Make sure the buds on the rootstock are removed. Don't forget to give them trellis when the shoots are come out to avoid it broken.
      Have a nice day...

    • @CarlzJafran
      @CarlzJafran  2 роки тому +1

      Hai there!... As a collector of dragon fruit they love plant all varieties of dragon fruit. If they don't have in their collection just graft them is ok. So you can double the cutting instead of one.
      You can sow seeds of dragon fruit and graft them. It only take 1 year (In tropical climate) to bear fruit compare to the non grafts seedling it take a long period that is 7 years to bear fruit (In 4 season countries area).
      Hope it clear for you. Have a nice day.
