[MEGADRIVE/GENESIS] Thunder Force IV - Normal, No Miss (6022080)

Felt really happy to have got this game done without deaths on any mode. I was doing this for an achievement to get over 6000000. First run didn't make it over the score, but this run was thankfully the one to do it.
I was lucky to know that at the final level, if I allow myself to grab lots of powerups and have a shield to protect myself throughout the segment, I can get more points, and it eventually got me the points I needed. I actually accidentally blew up the first boss as I wanted to remain there longer, but I was fortunate to have enough points for the achievement.
For the rest of the run, when I was learning to do this without dying, I was even having problems with even wthe first boss at times. Just had to know to stay on the top left of the screen to dodge the tail whips. I recently learned that if you don't get a shield in the third level, you'd get it on the fourth (strange RNG there), so there can be problems there at times. Level 8 is always a scary time as it is boss mania, but using the charged shot correctly can help eliminate bosses very quickly. Stage 9's boss can be scary at almost all times with its tricky shots.
One of my all time favourite shoot 'em ups, great to work on this.

Thank you, it was a stressful one to learn. I did this for an achievement on RetroAchievements, trying to score over 6million points which required the no death to begin with. I actually had to do it twice as I didn't achieve the score first time around, which is why you see me waiting around the first boss of the final stage, grabbing points until I accidently destroyed it. Proud of this one as it was one of my fav shoot 'em ups from my childhood.
I'll have to do another one of these live on Twitch for fun. I'll announce at some point.

Time because this game will. Chew. All my continues up before i can even beat the opening. First 4 stages. I have an emulated. Version of this game. And because it gives. An option. To have.
