For my 300th RetroAchievement badge, I decided to go with my childhood favourite. Worked on this on and off for a year. Easily one of my favourite RetroAchievement badges to date.
I managed to get to stage 9 after a few attempts back in March and since then took a break. Last week I decided to finally practice again after noticing the amount of badges I had which gave me great motivation. Watching a run taught me there was a hidden shield on stage 2. That alone sealed the deal as I was struggling to survive on stages 2 and 3. It made the rest of the level comfortable as there are shields in more levels than the first half of the game. Not losing hunter for stages 3 and 6 were really helpful as they can be really annoying levels without it. Even now, I can safely say stage 4's boss is still the most difficult one, as times it can be really hard to dodge tits projectiles, and unfortunately, with the strategy for trying in front of him even can fail it rams into you sometimes.
Never thought I'd finish the game on this difficulty without a continuue, considering how crazy it gets. Genuienly proud of this one.

Just started playing this the other day. That insect boss with the explosive moths is impossible for me. Awesome run.

Thanks! Learning that boss for the first time was a nightmare for me. It was only when I learned the quick kills (namely phase 2) is where it got better. Otherwise I'd have lots of annoying hits/deaths.
