We never knew how good we had it back then, with these two great leaders.

Mr. Reagan may well be considered one of the greatest presidents of the country in recent history. I will let our Canadian brothers judge the work done by Mr. Mulroney themselves.

Prime Minister Mulroney who we just lost on Feb. 29 2024, has been the greatest PM in my lifetime. I am very proud to know that he has been buried in our family cemetary in Montréal. ❤️

PM Mulroney was 46 years old here. Compare that to Justin Trudeau, who was 46 in 2017.
    What a difference.

PM Mulroney was 46 here. Justin Trudeau’s IQ is 46. They have that number in common, I guess.

President Regan meets Peppi Levesque! That must have been the highlight of the trip!

"Peppi" ??? What's that ? Yes, this is protocol. He was Québec Premier. And the country's PM was a Quebecer. Another one. We produce Canadian PM here.

Love the spit-and-polish dress and formal ceremony. Reagan was all poise, strength, and respect. Canada has probably never had a better friend in the Oval Office. Clinton came close, but lacked the seriousness and strength of Reagan. I would welcome Reagan’s corpse as President over the past four living ones.

What ? Forgot "Irangate" and his refusal of condemning Apartheid ? His foreign policy was commandable on Europe but weak on the Middle East. Domestically, the poor got poorer.

@@Boomer2304 The poor certainty did not get poorer in the strongest sustained economic growth in the 20th century under Reagan.
Apartheid is a miss, but…given how terrible the ANC is, you can kind of see why he might have been reluctant to help them out. When you look at South Africa, it’s hard to demonstrate that post-apartheid they are any better off. And I say that as an embargo supporter.
