I JUST WATCHED IT FOR THE 4TH TIME., it's a sweet story , a feel good movie... Anything with Margaret O'Brien ís a feel-good movie to me, adore her! The expressions her face and so much expression in her voice just warms my heart.and when she cries or gets her feelings hurt shows: in her eyes and her bottom lip , I almost cry, it's as if she's not even acting, she's so believable and realistic that I kind of forget I'm even watching a movie. I can't explain the affect she has on me, I love Shirley Temple but..... This Lil Lady has "EXTRA SPECIAL ADDED" she just seems to turn herself into the character she plays. 🍇💛🍇💛🍇💛🍇 ～⁝⁞⁝⁞ʕु•̫͡•ʔु☂⁝⁞⁝⁝
I love it too. TCM aired it and I watched it about three times. She's brilliant, so is Anges Moorehead ( the looks she gives when the dad is reprimanding her) and Mr. Robinson himself.

i love this movie i v watch the movie a few times. when the movie is on i make i see it . it ls comforting. heatwarming the dad loves his little gurl. he loves his family and their life......... the realistic life people lived in the 20s and 30s

Jesus, I lived in a small town (Cambridge, IL) for eight years. OMG!😱💩🤮 I understood the young teacher who came to town when she questioned the moral goodness of the small town, while her boyfriend kept trying to convince her otherwise. Well, she was right! While there were some good and just people living in the small town I found myself, the majority of people living there were boring, small minded, vengeful, pathetic conservatives who thought they were the center of their universe. God, their only interest was sports, sports, and more sports!🤮 Sad, sad, sad! A living hell on earth! LOL!

For some strange reason this film was on UA-cam a few years back & I got to see it. I saw it as a 6 year old, too and when I saw it as an elder I was surprised at how much I remembered.
But I have never seen the trailer, presented here. I loved the two kids and I always loved Edward G. Robinson and Agnes Moorehead. I am wondering if a decade or so later when Charles Laughten directed his only directed film "the Night of the Hunter" if he got the scenes of the children going down the river in a tub from this film. Anyway both films are genius.
I could not love this movie more! So glad to see a completely different side to Edgar G. Robinson ♥
