- I review, breakdown and explain American Horror Story Delicate Season 12 Episode 8. I discuss AHS Delicate Part 2 which was focussed on Emma Roberts character Anna as she won her Oscar and made a deal with Siobhan about her baby. I react to the opening scene which was focussed on Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow and it’s connection to Rosemary’s Baby, Kim Kardashian’s character Siobhan being immortal and what will happen to her in the ending. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 9, the season finale.

Can someone please PLEASE explain to me why the episodes are getting so SO damn short? Why is that? It frustrates me so much ... I love AHS, but why were episodes in Freak Show and Hotel AT LEAST like 48 minutes and now (without intro and end credits) we literally have episodes of 30 minutes ... Why?
It ranks way low in my opinion, not my top 5 seasons.
100% agree, timing a bit off seemed rushed, but still glad storyline is gaining some sort of momentum
Shoiban can alter reality. She turned Anna’s legs back to normal & decided whether or not Anna would win the Oscar in that moment, based on her answer. That’s some crazy power.

I knew she was the leader or whatever tf she is! Adaline kept saying "her" "u are doing this for her" I had a feeling she was the her 😂
We better get a 1 hour finale or something cuz if they pull another 30-35 minutes I’m gonna yell
its veered from the book but I don't think its adding anything to the story. I think I know how they are going to end it, but the big twist seems like its going to be anticlimactic because they are doing a lot of story building for no good reason.

Had a feeling that Dex was a scum bag, but the Cora reveal felt off to me. Like the witches mind controlled them both into cheating and telling her about it to get Anna away from Dex…
i thought that too, with cora being one of the witches, she could have just been lying to isolate anna. but that doesn’t explain dex’s reaction, and cora hasn’t been confirmed as a witch so idk
I was thinking the same thing. So that she can easily give up her baby for the Oscar. She isn’t going to want to have a baby with him now if it’s revealed that he never actually loved her. I really didn’t think Dex would end up a cheater, he’s not the best husband but he never gave off cheater vibes. I feel like it’s all because of the witches

That part is the exact plot point from the book.
the reveal is much more organic in the book. VERY abrupt in the show.

anna meets with preecher and preecher tells her that dr. hill is involved in a satanic cult. anna gets suspicious of cora being the one to mess with her schedule so she calls her and cora confesses to the schedule as well as having an affair with dex. she's not obsessed with anna in the book but she does express guilt. anna doesn't even go to the oscar's in the book and cora shows up to the house like right when she's going into labor.
Ahs needs to come up with a scary siren season and do it properly. Ppl would love that

I think ep 8 gave us a good amount of answers. Now ep 9 will probably be a long finale

I had to honestly check I put the right show on at first. I thought I was watching something else
Ms. Preecher is the only character I genuinely cared about. Expected much more when she was initially introduced.

I feel bad for Anna, not a single person in her life cares about her. She isn't even a bitch or a diva. Also, the reveal of Dex and Cora shocked me. Dex has been a dismissive husband to Anna, but he didn't seem like a cheater.
Really, I clocked he was fucking Cora early in part 1. You didn't find it a bit odd that she was always having the wrong time for her Dr appoiments, even after conforming with the office aka Cora? Dex would mention things Cora said to her that he wasn't there to hear. The woman refused to take her fingers out of her pussy for fuck sake, there were signs that were showing. Even the cop noticed how the dog didn't bark during the no forced entry break in, even if you didn't think it was Cora, it was clear he was fucking someone regularly in that house. Stay woke, if you cant clock it on tv, you wont clock it in real life either
I do too. I only wish Emma Roberts was better equipped to make me really *FEEL* so heartsick and devastated for her. I do think Emma is doing a fine job, but she just doesn’t pull off the hurt and the vulnerability as well as I’d prefer. It’s just not in her toolbox as an actress. I really would love this season more if a more emotive, versatile actress were playing Anna.

I could stomach almost all of it but the 1 thing I couldn’t was the image of Dex’s old man having spicy time with one of the witches INFRONT of dex “this is how you were made” with dexs mother passed out right there aswell 🤮

Roanoke was my lest favorite season. Goes to show you how everything is so personal. Im glad you liked it. But I enjoy most of AHS seasons and look forward to them every year.

It took me until the traffic scene to realize the chick in the opening was supposed to be Mia Farrow. 😭😭😭 Good thing I am a massive Rosemary's Baby fan or I would have been totally lost. How would most people younger than 30 catch that reference? Shit, the only people my age (32) who would know are the horror fanatics / film buffs.

Even though i didn't like the reveal Cora made, I liked how they stick to it since first ep. Many plots that seems going to last to the end, ended up in ep 4 or some (like Twisty in season 4 despite being in many teasers).
Anna pregnant, holding her Oscar made me think of past Oscar winners who were also pregnant at the time...

@@thebengalshater4418Aside from Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett, there's Meryl Streep, Catharine Zeta Jones, Emerald Fennel and Rachel Weisz who were all pregnant when they won Oscars. And that's just within the last 25 years (excluding Meryl), so over 80 some years of Oscars ceremonies there are likely a lot more.

I honestly really enjoyed the last episode, but after finding out Ep. 9 will run for 51 minutes on FX means it will be shorter than Ep. 8 and that makes me really upset because I had high hopes! 😭

My theory is that Ana could be Madison with a spell so she doesn't remember so they can catch the cult.
I thought that too. They mentioned the name madison in one of the episodes too. Now I need to go back and find where I heard it. I hope anna and the two ashleighs are coven witches. This season took way too long to get to the point and I wish it was longer
I agree with you. I feel like they could’ve done so much more to give us all this in part one. How many episodes did we have of her in the house doing nothing or in the seller with no climax I mean all of this could have been building up to part two.

The best season was coven 😪the acting was amazing!!!!!!! Apocalypse was great ..10/10 but after that it kind of went down hill but their still all very enjoyable 🥺

@Yousifdiyab I have to respectfully disagree. I can't get past kim kardashian. She's terrible. Her acting feels forced. To me, I feel like she's being herself on screen. That's just who she really is, it seems. I think if she wasn't in it It's possible I would have a different opinion about the entire season. But to me she is ruined it.I hope they do not bring her back but also I think they did just need to end the series It's not the same anymore.
@@Sassyshortgirl120 as someone who watches the Kardashian’s, Kim is a bit different than who she is in Delicate but yes there are similarities which i don’t seem a problem with. Leslie Grossman plays almost the same character every season and I adore it. Kim’s acting is really good to me. I don’t see how you think she’s bad but to each their own.

Coven, Apocalypse, Cult, Murder House all very good. I loved Red Dawn too. I appreciate Delicate. I feel like they’re trying to make it different (slower) more suspenseful. (Roanoke was my least favorite, and the second double feature. I hope they keep going. They should do two seasons a year

I had such high hopes cuz this was based off a book so I was like maybe this time the ending won’t be so confusing but unfortunately I have a bad feeling like we will end this season with way more questions than answers

I suspected that Dex was cheating on Anna after part 1 ended, and in episode 8 I saw my suspicions proving to be facts. When I saw him with Cora, I told myself "I knew it!". I also suspected he was using Anna to replace his first wife.
I agree about not having the fun the first few seasons, Freakshow was my favorite. I want to be scared, freaked out etc like it used to be. I hope they will have another season, if it’s going to be as good as it was from season 1.

Freakshow was my favorite too and felt like the end of an era. Had to rewatch it a few months ago just to get the feeling back. Honestly thought as bad as Apocalypse was it was appropriate to end things then because nothing has been the same since.
Excuse me but WHY IN THE HELL did Anna not become suspicious when Siobhan asked her that question at the oscars?? Did she really want an Oscar more than a baby or was that a poor choice of plot that the production decided to pull to finish it as fast as they could? They presented multiple cases of what happened after the satanic baby was birthed from other women why would I want to see the same thing again unless there s a major twist in the end??
Ok now we are talking...love the tie in with RB... first half was meh but these episodes have been good.

I think Kim K's character showing her evil side appeared well before this episode, with the director she was sleeping with questioning who she really was.
I'm prepared to be disappointed with the final episode - - feels like a lot of info will be thrown at us bring it all to a rushed close - - I don't think we needed the "meta" Rosemary's baby opening - it really just showed that Siobhan was there at that time in 1967. And maybe it's just me, but I thought they could have done a better job finding an actor that looked more like Mr. Sinatra - other than his blue eyes, sadly this actor did not resemble Mr. S. in any way. Just my two cents here!!
I like this season. A shame they’re few episodes and this was too short.
Here are some outlandish theories:
8:33 that girl Dex’s dad is whispering in on is “she” not Siobhan
Dex’s dad is also immortal but he has to age naturally for his son to not be suspicious
Siobhan and Dex’s dad are giving demonic powers to Anna’s baby because they need some lich idk why though
Anna will abort the baby and the villains will all turn to ash but she will be ostracized and her career ruined thus giving up “anything” for her award.
Cora was in the book
I have a feeling all the men in this story are under a spell the witches placed on them.
Dex is a douche. Also is Kim’s character really that evil? We shall see

Did Anna not realize that every doll she found was a representation of what was actually happening to her? The doll with the nails in the belly, the doll with the mangled legs? Every time she happened to find a doll, the thing that was done to the doll happened to her. Maybe I'm used to the voodoo shit 😂 my ex husband's family was into that stuff.

I have to disagree about your ranking of the season. I've really enjoyed the pacing (minus the 5 month break) and the connections to classic horror themes. This easily ranks as one of my favorite seasons.

@@BrainPilot Absolutely! how I like consistency in a season (Delicate) I felt Freak Show let itself down with its overly emotional and sometimes forced narrative (but yeah its a spectrum thats down to taste)
This episode felt so rushed and random. It’s like they rolled a dice and it landed on let’s make Dex a cheater for no apparent reason

I think each season hits different for each person. I mean, i hate Freak Show and I'm loving this one. I think fans are too hang up on the first ones, most of the time because of the cast. If the completed changed the cast from the beging, the show would had more freedom. This kind of mistery that's on this season gets in to me, as Freak Show was more of a drama for me. And That's ok, each person has it's own fears. I LOVE Cult, wich gets a lot of hate as well...

Feels like it’s all a Remake of Rosemary’s baby in the Show, like Madison Montgomery is remaking the movie since that’s all she did as an Actress was remake old films and never get the lead part, kind of like her Hell she was talking about in Coven during the 7 Wonders
An the Big twist is Siobhan is in fact a Real witch and tries to kill Madison and Cordelia shows up 😮

The last few seasons it seems like they just dgaf. Just short seasons rushed episodes. 1984 I thought of they’re getting back to how it used to be to be. But so many unanswered questions and not thought out.
AHS hasn't been excellent since the coven.
Once Jessica Lange left so did the spark. Sara polin, was okay, at best. After double feature season, I refuse to watch. RIP AHS. You were good for a moment.
