- I review, breakdown and explain American Horror Story Delicate Season 12 Episode 7. I discuss AHS Delicate Part 2 which was focussed on Emma Roberts character Anna as she was struggling with her pregnancy. I react to the ending which was focussed on Adeline’s death, Dexter's father being with Kim Kardashian’s character Siobhan and the deeper meaning behind what the cabal of witches mean. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 8.

What did you think of this episode of AHS Delicate? I feel it's definitely going to divide opinions! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
I'm not sure how I feel about it. It gave me major "Rosemary's Baby" vibes, which is a much better and tighter story than this AHS season. Both the book and the film are excellent. "Delicate"? Not so much (although I didn't read the book).
I have to recommend another horror show, which is much, MUCH better than AHS: "Evil". It's one of my all-time favorite shows; as intelligent as it is scary. If you watched it, please consider doing a breakdown of it. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Odd
This was the creepiest episode yet! These witches are so dark, i’m glad we finally got some context on some of these woman! Can’t wait to see how it ends 😬
I was surprised to see that his first wife was going through the same thing as Anna.
I believe Anna is a reincarnation of Addie notice that Spot by her lip they both share the assistant been around since Anna birth they wish they erase her memories like they did with Dax & I believe Ana is really Addie in a different body
The birthmark is an indicator of a woman who can conceive another witch or the beast. Talia even said she already found dex's next wife in the scene where addie dies.
@@JillianVSJill Every witch (for lack of a better term) has the same dark spot which is explained when the mother places blood on herself and her two daughters.
@@JillianVSJill that’s impossible Anna was alive at the same time as Addie.
no, I think Anna is gonna be one of the witch of coven
Much needed and it gave me old school AHS feelings. Finally a plot that seems we can follow.
The book is all lose ends that just wrap themselves up and tie on a bow at the very end,
@@Gee-xb7rt Seems the show is doing that well
@@Rev4mpz It strays from the book quite a bit, I think I have an idea of how its going to wrap up, maybe, and it will be the very end.
@@Gee-xb7rt i’m yet to read the book, but i’ve only really heard good things. And yeah I suspect all will be revealed at the VERY end (the last episode) right now they’re just placing the pieces individually, so that they perfectly aligned later.
@@Rev4mpzI don‘t know where you‘ve heard that, but the book is sh*t, full of typos and absolutely boring. The show somehow managed to make it even worse.
After I watched the episode, I noticed that in the ritual that Adeline was doing, she said 'hestia' instead of 'satana'. So because Hestia is the goddess of hospitality, kindness, and all that, I'm sure that Adeline has indeed removed herself, at least partially from the cable of the witchs' ritual.
exactly...she wasn't evoking satan
The viles of blood being taken from Dex's Mom, I truly believe that's what's in the viles Sioban keeps giving Anna!!
I like that theory!!!
I can't believe we waited 6 months for 4 more episodes. Get it together show.
Yeah it's a shame!
There was a strike😂 Get a clue maybe?
Good thing I just watched all episodes this past few days.
Kim is Lilith for sure. This witches are from another level then the others we know
Do you think this coven would beat cordelia's coven?
@@jaimoonlight2453 not sure, they are just a different kind. They are more ancient, and the other coven was created in the US
@@jaimoonlight2453 not a chance she is the supreme of all witches after all, it was stated in the show too that all previous witches were "taken care of" in the beginning
@@nikkitheebarbiieThese witches seem to be performing high level spells at the same level of ease that a supreme or someone capable of performing multiple of the seven wonders would be able to. We’ve even seen them heal wounds and such. These witches may turn out to be more threatening
4:36 The raven heads pumping blood into Dex’s mother has to be the Ashley’s 😂
she wasnt secretly praying to satan though, she explicitly was saying ave hestia, not ave satanas. Thought that was really clear especially since she named her damn restaraunt after it
adeline is giving rosemary’s baby with that haircut i love it
She was praying to The Goddess Hestia, not Satan.
was gonna comment this. I think she was hoping that Hestia will help and protect her from them
@@DarknMysterious I don't think she finished the spell.
@@justin5318 I think it was pretty similar, BUT the satanas part was missing for sure
It was the same word for word, except she inserted Hestia for Satan. This was a prayer of worship, not protection. " Ave" means worship.
Shoulda prayed to Jesus
Adaline wasn’t doing anything satanic, she was doing traditional witchcraft, praying to the Goddess Hestia. Much like we saw in Season 3 Coven when Fiona was taking down the corporation with a spell she prays to a Goddess herself. Though if Adaline wanted to regain her abilities it would’ve been better had she prayed to Hekate mother of Witches but I digress.
Was Fiona praying to Hecate, the mother of angels, when she was casting the complex spell to bring down the witch hunters with the mice on the maze?
what about the pentagram?
@@isaacomg-yd6fd pentagrams aren’t inherently satanic, that is a misconception spread by Christianity & Catholicism to demonize Paganism and Witchcraft itself. The Pentagram is actually seen and used by many as a symbol of protection.
It's shows the flashback where she's repeating the same thing the her mom was when it shows the flashback of the twins and their mom
Are you kidding? Adaline was calling the devil
Cara Delevingne so cannot do an Irish accent but Annabelle Dexter-Jones killed it with the Irish, American, and British accents! Like I don’t even know what her true accent is but she pulled them all off. Cara absolutely butchered her Irish accent
Yeah I though Annabelle Dexter Jones did really well in this episode in all aspects of it
Love Anabelle and Mj this season
I’m Irish and I thought she killed it in a good way!
@@KaiKruz90 oh yeah she did! Cara was awful though
@@Roo_724 wouldn’t say Cara was awful but agree to disagree ig
Interesting how they were able to do a great episode without two of their biggest names (Kim K and Emma Roberts)
Yeah it's true! It was still a good episode with strong performances from certain actors
Is it crazy I love these kinds of witches in the AHS universe other then THE coven. Love those girls, but these baddies are ruthless
I love seeing diff witches but would the supreme from the Coven be their supreme too or would these be different class entirely??
This was my favorite episode so far. Anna’s story is boring and colorless to me. Glad that they gave us these dark flashbacks and info.
Oh really? That's fair! It was definitely different and did lean into that darkness!
Yeah, that's because Emma can't really act her way out of a wet paper bag. But I am enjoying Kim this season. Which surprises me more than anything.
@@Ash.Crow.Goddess I am enjoying Kim’s performance more than I thought.i didn’t mind Emma in coven, or freak show. But this starring role is too much for her acting skills.
@@lucretiamaggio6154 she was pretty good at season 9 which she was the final girl so
@@lucretiamaggio6154Disagree, she is incredible in Scream Queens, which is her show. This is just a miscast, but almost everyone in this season is awfully bad at acting.
I don't think dex father is important he is just being used just like Siobhan used Hamish he can't be the head of it because we clearly see Siobhan in 42 A.D
That's fair! To be fair I'm not putting anything out of question with the show at this point lol
Who was the raven head that dex father was having sex with
Where was Siobhan in 42 AD?
@@dw4101the witch that appeared during that awful c section
@@dw4101 she seems to be the "head witch" that resurructed Ivy. But she also might not be a villain in this series because she uses an iPhone lol
Someone else catch the Madison part! I think Emma is playing 2 people. Dexs dad clearly says he's dating a young Madison... and he does what SHE asks. After showing the man controls women. Meaning Madison isn't a normal woman. I think we have 2 sets of witches. The Ashley's and Madison being THE COVEN from season 3. Remember...they've got time traveling spells we seen in Apocalypse...
I really hope this connects to coven
and Madison was an actress as well, like Anna. I hope Madison makes an appearance
Madison can't time travel. Only Mallory has that power
Oh well done! I didn’t catch that!
Cara isn't doing it for me either and I also feel so bad saying that. Her scenes felt like they took me out of the story and into realizing it was people acting and it was difficult to watch :/
This episode was GOOD! I didn't like the whole Dex's father being apart of it and I hope he is just being used like some other commenter's said and I AM ALSO glad to hear I am not the only one who thought Cara Delevingne's acting was VERY mid this episode. I tend to think she does well in past season's and other project's like murder's in the building.... but that scene when she hit her daughter was not it. It was just uncomfortable. It could have been delivered differntly. It feelt like she wanted to give more but held back, maby the accent was part of the issue for her. Overall it was a decent episode, I am scared how they will wrap it up with only 2 episode's left... this episode feelt like we need 3-4 more episode's for everything to tie up nicely. I hope it doesn't have a useless ending like double feature part1.
I really liked this episode and I am glad it moved the plot forward
Would it make sense if Ms. Preacher is Adeline? She defected and started aging and that’s why she’s trying to warn Anna
It's an interesting theory for sure!
This episode was definitely necessary in order to make sense of what's going on. I'm just wondering if there will be a real sensible ending or we're just going to get thrown a lot of information so that the story can end in two more episodes. Still not sure how I feel about this season.
I wish the show did not go on hiatus, because after episode 7, it got more interesting. The stakes are higher. Part 1 was so boring, left me with so many questions. Second episode of Part 2 finally piqued my interest.
Part 1 is only boring to ppl who aren’t into slow burns.
I was a fan of Part 1, but I think having half a years break just made it lose all momentum!
Same
@@Yousifdiyab not necessarily, slow burns are fine so long as they are written and acted well, which in this case, neither are true.
Emma Roberts is not getting it done, for me anyway. I loved her in scream queens and all the other AHS stories. She was also in a "slow burn " thriller, which I got bored and turned off half way. Her acting was sub par in it as well.
@@beatsventura8813 agreed
The fact that Kim gave an interview months ago & described her role as "a witch" completely spoiled the mystery of the plotline for those who haven't read the book. And the actor who plays Anna's assistant is horrible! Her scenes are cringe.
The man who plays the woman? Every scene I just see a man trying to be a woman
That man is not a woman
@@givemeliberty700 regardless, the acting in Pose was way better than AHS. I can't believe it's the same person!
@@jkn8705 I can't believe that cast a man to portray a woman a mother let alone ... gross
@@givemeliberty700 shut up! ahs has always been huge with the lgbtq+ community. She is literally playing a FICTIONAL character. Stay mad.
Very well explained , great job!
Glad it was helpful!
Also I enjoy some of the old school AHS feels, but I’m already setting myself up for the disappointment I’m sure to feel if Kim kardashian is burdened with carrying a huge plot point. Live your content!!!
Love*
Actually since she had placed herself in the middle of a pentagram surrounded by candles, I thought she was putting a protection spell on herself. Thanks again Brainpilot. I have decided to pick up the book again and see what happens.
Its strayed a lot from the book, but I think I get how they are going to reel it in for the last episode.
Well, absolutely none of this happened in the book, so good luck finding those pages!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The bearing of babies that are, in a way, 'perfect specimens' is a similarity to ahs death valley. Im so glad that this episode gave us information about Adeline, it was definitely important to know that her death was about more than a restaurant fire. It also seems like the red mark showing up on Anna's face (and other womens faces as well) is a motif of something or could be foreshadowing for childbirth or death (Anna definatley doesn't know about what this group of ravenhead women are doing) Ever since this season started I made assumptions that Nicolette wasn't a real person or that she was up to something, and the fact that she's one of the women that doesn't age it might make sense that she happened to be a nurse at the hospital where Anna's mother died. This season has definitely improved since it first aired.
I really enjoyed this episode. I appreciate having the backstory. I wasn't sure if I would like the episode because I knew Anna wouldn't be featured (& I enjoy her story), but I loved Adeline's story & and her interaction with/ Sonia.
I still don't get why Adeline was still praying to whomever in the middle of the pentagram if she wanted to distance herself from her past.🤷🏼
Completely missed Siobhan being the "leader" & Dex's potential mother. I knew he was a product of one of the witches, but the idea of Siobhan makes so much sense. But I wonder why Dex's dad seems to dislike him so much
Theory: The line about Adeline marrying Dex as a way to give “her” the middle finger could mean a few things. BUT considering that Adeline makes it clear to Dex near the beginning of the episode that she doesn’t want children, this could suggest that she knows Dex is an integral part in creating the “perfect product” and what better way to prevent that than marrying him and using the dynamic of their marriage to prevent him from fathering any offspring? If “Siobhan and Co” are riding on his procreating, this would throw a huge wrench into that plan. As far as Dex’s parents are concerned, I’m definitely a little confused but it stands to reason that his father (much like the film maker) has the degree of wealth and power that he does because of his intimate relationship with one of the Raven Heads (presumably Siobhan). Perhaps being involved in this life cycle of sorts (be that paternally or maternally) you gain something in return.
Adelaine is looking very Mia Farrow Rosemary's Baby
Im really annoyed me because I didn’t get any clarity , I still don’t understand what is happening, I’m so lost .
I miss when AHS had good actors!
The early years were definitely the better ones
This season is so good
Nah all the actors are great, even Kim and Cara.
Nah!
@@Yousifdiyabkim is definitely not a good actor
Idk if this is relevant but in the first episode when Anna was signing the doll she signed her initials AVA
And the name of this episode is Ava Hestia. Probably not connected but I just noticed this lol
That‘s cause her name is Anna Victoria Alcott.
I thought it was " ave hestia" , the word ave in Latin means worship/ praise. Like in the song " ave maria".
@beatsventura8813 you are right! My mistake, thank you!
So far this season this is my favorite episode.
That's awesome!
I watched this episode the day it was released and happened to miss the part where Adeline performed a ritual but on a rewatch I saw it and immediately thought she was trying to summon her mother/sister(s) to potentially strike some sort of deal. She seemed completely caught off guard when Ivy injected her w whatever she did.
I was under the impression they were going many years into the the future for the second part, but that is not the case. I'm glad they gave us some sort of plot finally.
This was one of the best episodes of the season. I have to say the episode was great.
she wasnt summoning her family, "ave satanas" means "hail/worship satan" and Ave hestia means "Hail/worship Hestia" so basically she went from being a satanist to worshipping Hestia.
old guy is tapping Kim K, respect. lol
THANK YOU. I totally agree with Cara's acting being weird. It definitely took me out a bit.
Yeah it's a shame!
This is 100% NOT recommended to watch if you're pregnant!
I'm scarred.
Omg I’m 6 months pregnant and I was so squeamish
@@JalisaHapp2000 your going to have so much trust issue for your baby after watching this 😂
What is the song at the end of episode 7?
Does anyone know when episode 7 will be on Disney plus?
Have they used a casket in any of the episodes? My casket was bought by them..just curious which scene ? Thanks
So, it was a big twist after all since most viewers didn't expect Talia to be a witch
So I rewatched part 1 and I got to say watching part 1 and part 2 together helped because I had forgotten a lot of what happened in part 1
I'll also say so far part 2 is way better than part 1 imo
Yeah the pacing of Part 2 feels a bit more centred around actual developments rather than hints and clues
I think she was performing the rituals trying to get some of her power back, because Sonia mentioned that Ade lost her powers when she left the family
Is it weird that Anna eating the dead animal is so much more gross than this episode
it was awesome.. dex's dad is the devil
Dónde puedo verlo gratis ?
This has been too obvious imo. Known Kim k was the villain all along
Truth in ur face what hollywood do
This one was by far the creepiest and the best episode, imo.
Yeah it leaned into how we really remember the show
I also THINK that the person wearing the red heart necklace from the past atleast can be the women that keep's dying. Both the lead role's saw her. The proportion's from this episode make's it looks like a thicker women and we have no idea whay she keep's poping up and keep's dying. It's confirmed to be Kim K later on in the finale but maby we will get more context as to why.
It’s obvious that he loves Adeline way more than Anna. He can be with Anna and still be not that into her.
Oh ts is gooddddd😮😂
I feel like this season is trying to be the Lords of Salem
Kim K's character is Siobhan. Pronounced Irish like Shivaun. Sonia is Adeline's dark haired sister.
Sonia and Adeline are twins, not only sisters They were born at the same time , and the same actress plays both.
@beatsventura8813 Yes, I was addressing something said. He was talking about Kim K's character and said her same was Sonia. I was just noting the mistake, in case it confused anyone.
In rosemary baby Guy is fully involved he’s the most vile as he betrayed Rosemary
I think the raven head in the beginning that saved Ivy and the twins is not Kim’s character or even a woman. The draping covering the face instead of the usual tight masks, and the broad body with no boobs, this is a larger man. My theory is it’s Dex’s dad.
That episode felt like old AHS Like season 2 fe
Dex’s father looks like Asa Hutchinson
I have a feeling the Coven may have to intervene in this cult's shenanigans
caras acting is okay when she doesnt speak. i think dexs father sold his soul to be rich and is in a hamish like relationship with kim k
I have to agree with the acting. Cara Delevingne being the mother just didn't sell it to me. Very bad acting- I have to agree. And bviously came & found you because I was a little bit confused about this episode. Why do I not see how Adeline marrying Dexter would be giving the middle finger "to her"? What relationship did Adeline have to Siobhan other than her being possibly being dex's mother? It seems to me that they're carrying a lot of "children" correct? I still don't get how that's giving the middle finger "to her." I'm a little bit confused on that part but we will see as the storyline progresses.
i really need directors to stop casting cara. She can not act. She simply can.not.act.
She was praying to Hestia, not Satan
The only thing was kind of unexplained is the immortality (with the exception of getting burned alive).I guess that kind of thing just comes without question when you worship satan?
I think a lot of this season ties into conspiracy theories in real life, like how celebs say there’s a special “cream” celebrities use to stay youthful but people think celebrities use adrenochrome (from children.) I think that’s why at the end when they kill Adeline they are smearing the fetus blood on their face
I think that's got to do with the babies. The witches spread the baby goo all over their faces after taking it out of Adeline. Then there was the comment that they had already found Dexs new wife, and they would make the most pure product. Reminds me of Madame LaLaurie and her youth 'potions'.
👍🏽
the true horror is the pronunciation of cabal
Is it just me did anyone notice Adelaine and Dex look like siblings 😳
Dex’s dad is tapping Kim K and is maybe the devil…I like the plot twist, he probably over years was trying to get some blood relatives to be his apprentice for some reason…
The part where Cara took the fetal fluid reminded me of when nurse Ivy also took Ana's first pregnancy.
My question is, why did they kill it?
How do they determine whether to kill/keep a creature/baby?
I love how this season keeps twisting and turning and we dont know what to expect or how irs going to end. Caras irish accent was terrible 😂 but apart from that good episode i thought. And what is that mark that anna and adeline have next to their mouth? Its bugging me
This season was what I thought Coven was going to be like. It's kind of the same formula as Rosemary's baby, Witches of Salem, Suspiria, etc.
This season is fricking stupid. It felt like They were trying to recreate the transformation of Sarah Paulson's character from s7 (cult) in ep6, but it felt so un earned. There was no basis for it. The story's pretty blant, nothing's happening, I miss the older season, that had like multiple tales, that were rich and fun to watch. But in this season it's just Emma Emma Emma Roberts character, who is so unimpressive that i forgot her name.
Agree. Nothing happens. They've used Emma to keep people intrigued, but the plot goes nowhere its just the same thing we already know each episode. This whole season I think is a pay off to give Kim & Cara a go in the show. We have a generation of idiots, if there's people praising watching the exact same thing each episode
This whole season is pretty good but too confusing to split it up just for 4 more episodes
Yeah I'm not a fan of the fact it was divided!
I whatched this with my mom 3:57
Cable or cabal!??! Brain Pilot better be human and not AI!??!😅
AI for sure haha 😂😂
Bruh I have a body and a brain, nothing AI about that 😂
So Anna, the main character and actress posted all over the advertising is actually the very LEAST important character in the entire season 😭
👍🏼
where these words come from, I can’t find «ave satan, viva liberty domini nostri.» heeelp 😢
Their maenads!!!!!! I thought there were witch’s but their not! They are maenads!
Please ending don't dissapoint us again please..😅😊
9 episodes wasn't enough:(
Yeah it definitely needed more!
Awful. This season is a pointless mess. The same things just keep happening over and over. The story hasn't really gone anywhere. It's never surprising when yet another character is revealed to be in on it, at this point, every character is in on it.
i think this season does a really good job of making you think and making you feel but what do i know
I mean it must be good that you are on a video explaining what happened to a RECENT episode
You’ve commented on ep 2 and back months later for ep 7. Doesn’t seem so pointless of a season
Totally agree. It's same thing every episode. There's nothing unique or surprising about this season
The backstory was great but Cara is an awful actress... absolutely dreadful!
Absolutely disagree. Cara did great and I’m not saying that to be defensive. I didn’t even know who she was until she was announced as apart of the cast.
@@Yousifdiyab That's fair I've just never cared for her, not in Suicide Squad and definitely not in this episode. To me she was the weakest link in this entire storyline and I actually thought she was solid as "the nurse" in the beginning of the season.
I agree unfortunately. Something just feels off about her perspective in the scenes. Her tone and aggressiveness seems misplaced and misunderstood at times. It’s giving film actor’s interp of Shakespeare for the stage.
@@ponygon123113 That Shakespeare line is spot on haha. You nailed it with the aggressiveness too, misplaced indeed!
@@JeremyCannonJSC idk I thought her performance had its own quirk to it. It was definitely dramatic and I thought that was great for AHS since the actors are usually over the top.
Thanks for the video but could not stand the pronunciation of cabal
Cara’s acting still makes me cringe
Regarding the purest form, i have a feeling that anna and dex may be half brother and sister. Dex's father is also Anna's father.
Ugh 😩 again with the witches
Jesus AHS let it go !
First apocalypse
Now this
Like please be original or moré suspenseful 😂
Well some people like they witches storylines….. its literally one of the most popular seasons 😭😂
Thank you now I dont have to watch it. 😊
It's still worth a watch!
I'm disturbed by the fact that after she took the pregnancy test, she had it in her mouth. Grossest thing I've seen on this show, lol. Not really, but still no woman would do that.
Hide the truth in plane sight..
Jesus is King and all those who practice wickedness will Perish!!!!
It's a lot of bad acting actually.
Some of the acting was terrible cara Devine isn’t a good actress sorry I found her weak . She looks incredible yet when she says her lines there not convincing 😮
Every time Cara opened her mouths I cringed, so bad acting..
Yeah it's a shame. She really took me out of the world/show/characters
