Less chemical products is the way to go cuz. The build up is so excruciating. I learned that the hard way during my first year of being loc’d. When it came to washing my hair I had to lather up two to three times to get as much build up removed. My next step is doing my first detox.

the locs aren't mature enough to retwist yet, im not trolling btw, wait up to a year before retesting. also did you have a relaxer before you started?
Hey, no I’ve been relaxer free for 8-9 years.
Wait a YEAR to retwist? Your locs don’t have to be mature to retwist. Retwisting helps to establish and maintain the foundation of the locs. Unless she is semi freeforming, I’m not sure if waiting a year to retwist is the best advice.
