This is a clip from the full sermon R C Sproul: Love the Lord your God with all your mind _UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/gYdeFVoXq-k/v-deo.html ❤️❤️❤️Read this❤️❤️❤️ THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST What is the gospel? The word gospel literally means “good news” and occurs 93 times in the Bible, exclusively in the New Testament. In Greek, it is the word euaggelion, from which we get our English words evangelist, evangel, and evangelical. The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation. The key to understanding the gospel is to know why it’s good news. To do that, we must start with the bad news. The Old Testament Law was given to Israel during the time of Moses (Deuteronomy 5:1). The Law can be thought of as a measuring stick, and sin is anything that falls short of “perfect” according to that standard. The righteous requirement of the Law is so stringent that no human being could possibly follow it perfectly, in letter or in spirit. Despite our “goodness” or “badness” relative to each other, we are all in the same spiritual boat-we have sinned, and the punishment for sin is death, i.e. separation from God, the source of life (Romans 3:23). In order for us to go to heaven, God’s dwelling place and the realm of life and light, sin must be somehow removed or paid for. The Law established the fact that cleansing from sin can only happen through the bloody sacrifice of an innocent life (Hebrews 9:22). The gospel involves Jesus’ death on the cross as the sin offering to fulfill the Law’s righteous requirement (Romans 8:3-4; Hebrews 10:5-10). Under the Law, animal sacrifices were offered year after year as a reminder of sin and a symbol of the coming sacrifice of Christ (Hebrews 10:3-4). When Christ offered Himself at Calvary, that symbol became a reality for all who would believe (Hebrews 10:11-18). The work of atonement is finished now, and that’s good news. The gospel also involves Jesus’ resurrection on the third day. “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25). The fact that Jesus conquered sin and death (sin’s penalty) is good news, indeed. The fact that He offers to share that victory with us is the greatest news of all (John 14:19). The elements of the gospel are clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, a key passage concerning the good news of God: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living.” Notice, first, that Paul “received” the gospel and then “passed it on”; this is a divine message, not a man-made invention. Second, the gospel is “of first importance.” Everywhere the apostles went, they preached the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. Third, the message of the gospel is accompanied by proofs: Christ died for our sins (proved by His burial), and He rose again the third day (proved by the eyewitnesses). Fourth, all this was done “according to the Scriptures”; the theme of the whole Bible is the salvation of mankind through Christ. The Bible is the gospel. “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). The gospel is a bold message, and we are not ashamed of proclaiming it. It is a powerful message, because it is God’s good news. It is a saving message, the only thing that can truly reform the human heart. It is a universal message, for Jews and Gentiles both. And the gospel is received by faith; salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). The gospel is the good news that God loves the world enough to give His only Son to die for our sin (John 3:16). The gospel is good news because our salvation and eternal life and home in heaven are guaranteed through Christ (John 14:1-4). “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-4). The gospel is good news when we understand that we do not (and cannot) earn our salvation; the work of redemption and justification is complete, having been finished on the cross (John 19:30). Jesus is the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). The gospel is the good news that we, who were once enemies of God, have been reconciled by the blood of Christ and adopted into the family of God (Romans 5:10; John 1:12). “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). The gospel is the good news that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). To reject the gospel is to embrace the bad news. Condemnation before God is the result of a lack of faith in the Son of God, God’s only provision for salvation. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:17-18). Two heresies in your Title. Woman's ministry, and followers of Jesus when Jesus said my brothers and sisters and mother's are those who follow God. Luke 14:26 KJV forbids women in the ministry 3 times with gender words. You did prove Isaiah 3:12.
@@markwillhite9200 #1 Jesus told the first disciples to follow Him, a disciple is a follower of God and Jesus even told us those who desire to follow after me must deny Himself and take up his cross and follow me ( Matthew 16:24-25). #2 Women can have a ministry for the Lord Jesus, Jesus never told women to don't do anything for Him. Look at the when Jesus's tomb was empty. The disciples of Jesus, all male, were hiding in fear while the women went to the tomb, discovered it empty, met the risen Lord, and became the world’s first evangelists (Matthew 28). So People take 1 Timothy 2:11-12 and twist it, they take it as God says women are to just be silent and never speak nor do anything but that is unbiblical and wrong. That verse was given to the pagan women who were coming in the church and causing division. Paul told them to don't do such a thing. you come in, hear the word of God, and if you have questions then asks your husband's at home. That chapter and verse doesn't put women down, the bible doesn't degrade women nor men and neither does God degrade any man and woman of the faith. God says women can teach women and children they can even pastor them ( Titus 2:1-5). but they cannot pastor grown men. but women can tell men the Gospel of Jesus Christ just as they can tell it to other women and children and men can tell the Gospel to women and men and children ( Mark 16:15). also another biblical truth, Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helping/serving. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15). Some of this is From Gotquestions.org and much of it was from me reading my bible, This is all Biblical by the way, so before you throw verses out of context, read first with the help of the Holy Spirit and you'll get a better understanding and even gain some much needed knowledge from Him ( 1 Corinthians 2:10-14).
I was shocked when I heard RC Sproul said he became a Christian through Ecclesiastes 11:3 ,” If the cloud be full of rain , they empty themselves upon the earth : and if the tree fall toward the south , or toward the north , in the place where the tree fall, there it shall be .”
While not wrong, and as a strongly, mtally driven person myself, I still prefer to hear this kind of teaching accompanied with Christ's teaching that, love requires obedience. Not suggesting obedience will create the love, but you can love in the mind and not obey with the body - such love is effectively worthless. Some great fallen Christian prefer said, the entire time he lived in sin, he was in love with God. Christa definition of love requires obedience.
I looked at this again, and this is the most carnal understanding of God that I've ever seen. You can read that book, the bible, until your eyes fall out of your head, it will not get you to love God. In fact, it doesn't even make people fear God. They go to church on Sunday, sing a couple songs, listen to the message, they apologize that they sinned, and then they do it all over again every week. Most of us, if our ten kids died, we would hate God for all eternity. When I had it all, God took me down, he removed my good paying job, my wife, my kids, my dwelling place, my car and stuck me in the street. Go through that, then tell me how much you love God. In all of that, I didn't curse him, I cursed me. I can say this, not many can say this, God trusts me to do the right thing, because he taught me to do the right thing. Though he destroys me, I will not change my countenance towards him, I am so glad that trial ended. See, when you tell God that you love him, he will try you. Ask my wife.
“So says Jehovah: Keep justice and do righteousness, for My salvation is near to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; keeping sabbath, from defiling it; and keeping his hand from doing every evil. And do not let the son of the foreigner speak, he who joins himself to Jehovah, saying, Jehovah surely separates me from His people; and not do let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dried tree. For so says Jehovah to the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths and choose things I am pleased with, and take hold of My covenant: I, even I will give to them in My house and in My walls a hand and a name better than sons and than daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which shall not be cut off. And the sons of the alien who join themselves on Jehovah to serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, to be His servants, everyone who keeps from defiling the sabbath, and takes hold of My covenant: even them I will bring to My holy mount and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples, states the Lord Jehovah, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, I will yet gather beside him his gathered ones.” (Isa 56:1-8, LITV) This is the gentile gospel.
God loves y’all so much he sent Jesus his one and only begotten son to die on the cross for us and are sin so pls just give him his time of day Romans 8:18
I want to learn something new am lot God but for the passed few years of reading scripture, I just find the things I've already learned about him. Surely I do not know the infinite files of God! Yet I believe there must be more, but I he answered all my questions, so what else is the there to learn about him? How can I find it?

Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples, states the Lord Jehovah, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, I will yet gather beside him his gathered ones.” (Isa 56:1-8, LITV)

Yet I believe there must be more, but I he answered all my questions, so what else is the there to learn about him?
How can I find it?
