Every single time I see that last scene where Bee says "I guess... there's a lot we don't know about each other." and Puppycat responds with "What's your favourite colour?" it gets me. I think it's that whole thing that your real friends don't care WHAT you are, it's who you are.

Exactly, and I like how the Netflix version expands on this too.
Ignoring the fact that we literally see her insides, watch her get repaired, and see something pretty weird at the end of that version ("S2"), here are all of the things I can think of that show she is not human:
-On many occasions, she is referred to as though she has not aged in years.
-She says herself she is "very old".
-She seems to have watched some friends of hers grow up, like Cardamon, who she also shares her birthdays with.
-Her age is never mentioned.
-We never see what she looks like as a baby, other than a flashback/concept.
-She is *very* heavy, supposedly, as she hurts Deckards back while standing on it, and can easily crush metal and other things by pressing on it with some force.
-She can lift very heavy objects, jump across long distances, and lacks proper emotions, explaining her bland personality.

Both Sticky and Puppycat are both male (I think Sticky is a male.. I'm not quite sure though..) so I love that.
I just watched some of the Netflix one with my girlfriend tonight and was so intrigued, looked it up and discovered this! I really like this show, it’s hilarious and it’s also got a lot of depth in terms of emotional impact and it just pulls me in for reasons beyond my understanding. I hope they don’t cancel it this time.

Seriously. While I did enjoy the remake, there wasn't a reason to redo the first "season"(the one on this youtube video) I can understand recreating the pilot episode to match the rest of the show's animation style. I can also understand if they added a few key additions so that Lazy in Space would make more sense, but a full remake was a waste.
Things like the tears didnt even need to be changed from jellyfish tears to tears of random stuff. They could have still made the jellyfish tears function the same way.
Regardless, still I enjoyed it even though it strayed away from the "vibe" of the original. But I really wonder what went through the heads of the creative team to make the decision to redo the entire thing? Maybe just trying to make up more work for a larger check? Idk.

I love how when one of the voice actor's stutters or messes up they just go with it and makes it look like the character messes up the word

Honestly though, those are the scenes that make it feel so real and like a normal conversation with actual people. It reminds me of the roof scene of the fake date with Amy and Jake in b99 when they're throwing the peanuts into their mouths, something about it just seems incredibly real, and it's kind of incredible how calming it is hearing these actors mess up their lines or just ramble, ya know?

I naturally skipped the first 3 episodes on Netflix thinking they had just picked up where they left off. I really enjoyed what they did so far, but when I eventually went back to rewatch from the start I got so confused because they changed so much. So now I'm back here enjoying the original 💖
They had to change those things, I think. Just to make the further developed plot make sense. It is a reboot, after all.

I have rewatched this show so many times,, I’m so happy I found this when I did. It’s always been there for me when I needed to cheer up. When my parents had really big fights, or when I was so sick it just hurt to stand. This show will always hold a special place in my heart 🫶

there is something deeply sad about this show. I don't know how to explain it. It's not just the kid taking care of his mother. Or Bee possibly being a robot. It's not even Deckard being depressed for whatever reason. It's something deeper.

I'm back again with a comment about Cardamon and him being a carer. It just hit me, him seeing his mum fast asleep and never waking up, never getting a hug, good morning or a kiss. He's such a strong kid.
Am i alone in the fact that I have watched this for atleast 2times a week ever since I discovered it and I'm not tired of it yet!!!! By the way I discovered this over a year and a half ago!!!! This has become my favorite I'm depressed or can't sleep go to video!!!!! I cannot be the only person that feels this way am I?? And btw I do believe bea is my soul sister from a different dimension!!!!!

Thats because the show is so easy to watch and visually and audibly pleasing. What also helps is that it has almost no drama, everytime it seems like they are going to talk about sad feelings, they brush it off and move forward in a positive direction without over-doing it.
Also, its replay value is so high considering that there are so many things we all missed the first time watching it.
SPOILERS BELOW:
Like the fact that the entire time its been hinted so subtly that Bee is a robot. Like her love of food but.... she doesnt need to eat. The line indicating that bee is an old, yet young, looking woman. The way she hates water. The way she recognises mouley but changes the subject quickly to hide it from deckard. The line in cloud world that shes worried to fail(unknown what she is referring to but it seems that she has a purpose she isn't telling anyone). Puppycat knows it(because puppycat was hired by her dad before and may currently be working for him still to watch over Bee) and also how the dadbox says a double-meaning line "I sure hope your not broke". She is constantly broke, as in low in money, but the box also repairs her when she breaks and the "candy" is actually pure energy that she seems to be powered by.

When I first started watching the Netflix version of this show , I wasn't sure if I was gonna like it. But now that I have seen it, I can say that I absolutely adore everything about this show! The characters and their dialogue, the comedic writing, the colors/art style, the overall vibe of the whole world. I love it! It's a beautiful, awkward, psychedelic and funny little adventure. A real breath of fresh air compared to the shows I actually end up watching. Not that the shows I watch aren't good. It's just that this show doesn't try to constantly pull me to the edge of my seat or give me anxiety about what's going to happen next.

The last scene, or the "What's Your Favorite Color?" scene is so beautiful and meaningful without even saying anything directly. Puppycat doesnt care about what Bee is, or what secrets she holds. All that he cares about *who* she is.. and who she'll grow to be.. the last scene has been my favorite scene in a show since a long while.. its just so beautiful.

So I found this randomly while I was REALLY SICK with covid and a fly. So it was me, soup, jello, Gatorade, crackers, medicine, a rocking chair, heavy blankets, and puppy cat. This show meant everything during that time. When I found out later that they were coming out on Netflix I was all over it. Surprisingly this version to me was waaaaay better than the netflix version. Only thing I enjoyed the netflix version for was continuation of the story after episode 10 which felt like they were speeding through the first couple episodes to get to that.
But anyways thank you puppycat for making me feel wonderful during a terrible time.

Why does this thing filled me with emptiness. So much stuff feels like it hit so close to home, yet it's nothing more than a fantasy. Not sure why I'm crying all throughout six episodes, but I need a break from watching further.
This is early life crisis personafied, animated, and endearing at the same time. Absolutely terrific, yet it somewhat, horror, not sure if it's the right word for it. 10/10 would continue watching 👌
Edit : Just finished this. This show managed to brought back my repressed depression with a tidal wave of emotion. Would cry again / 10
Edit edit : Just when I fell in love with the show and explored the Netflix version, it made me disapointed. The charm of it, the timing and set up of a lot of sorrow moments just gone. Netflix made one of the most emotional show in recent memories into basically a magic girl kids show. They misinterpreted and misused a lot, and I mean a lot, of empty scenes not to build a moment but rather to simply fill the gap in their 30 mins long episodes, meaningless. The pacing all over the place, sometimes it's too slow like they actually thought the target audience was kids while other times it's too fast for a certain powerful moments to pass. Needless to say that my disappointment was immeasurable and my day is ruined.

The majority of the show was made before signing a Netflix deal. Other than the first 3 recap episodes, everything was made in like 2019 by these creators
This is my comfort show. I always come back to it when I need it, and it's like a warm hug telling me to just breathe. It feels like a cozy blanket.

If you want a slow pace story about Bee's temp jobs this is the show. You should choose the Netflix one if you want a even slower pace show about the lore of the island, about Deckard's family and about Puppycat.
I binged the Bee and Puppycat reboot on Netflix the other day and re-watched the original version today (finally, after many years), yeah, I like the original better. The new version feels more like a fever dream, sort of? I wonder why they had to change so much stuff?

Ink Dragon I think this show is like made by the people who made Steven universe! It’s the same art style
I love this version, it's very nostalgic tbh, and more emotional than the dialogue and events in the Netflix version.
The Netflix version expands more on the story though and explains more about things that I was left wondering about over this version.
I wish they had kept in some moments, though, but I enjoy how they changed some things, like how the birthday episode goes, and Moully's impact on the story.

When Bee and Puppycat was first introduced/previewed, I remember seeing a lot of comments on Oliver's covers of people coming from Bee and Puppycat, though that's how I found this show(that was sooo long ago omg). I rememvber watching this when I got super sick with a fever and vomitting for a good week or two since two years ago, this series really helped distract me from immense physical pain and derlirium.

Ever since something awful happening in 2019 I’ve always gone to this show, specifically this exact video, when I’m feeling awful or I’m having bad anxiety, this show has saved me multiple times.
Ffs it helped me alot during break up trauma and other bad things happened in the beginning of 2023 😭✋🏻 i just love puppycat so much and it's songs just so trauma relieving 🛐✨
Going back and watching the classics from this channel after nearly a decade makes me feel so old.

I'm so glad this exists in my life, somewhat as the "little sister" of steven universe, but it can easily be separated by its attributes from any show in so many ways possible.

This show feels so calming. My life so full of stress and this show pops out of no where and just a contrast compared to the harsh colors i see when watching tv. And the voice acting is so mesmerizing. I think this is one of my favorite show. I love the netflix version expanding on the show too. Im just happy to see Cardamon no longer being alone and caring for his mom.
