An insanely close match today. Great plays all around, even Gardevoir's Perish Song proved be a genius play despite its teammates not being able to pick up the slack. A deserved victory.
Both teams deserve to be proud of their efforts. It seemed as if they could barely be separated for true control of the game. A great addition to the building rivalry.
LETS GO!!!! Admittedly I no longer 4-0 but SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR GARDEVOIR VS GALLADE Game 1, Breakers kept ahead of the Galaxy at every turn, with massive hits, to take the win. Shoutout to Emboar for that MASSIVE Flare Blitz! Anti-shoutout to Metagross for giving the Breakers the Light Screen Braviary set up. Game 2 was way worse for the Breakers. Once the tag team broke up, and Bronzong and Farigiraf got into form, they simply couldn't be eliminated. Gardevoir's Perish Song was the best one we've seen in the season, but Great Tusk clearly didn't believe in the deficit, and threw the towel, before Decidueye got eliminated. Game 3. Hoo boy. It almost went TERRIBLY WRONG FOR THE BREAKERS. Shoutout to Iron Valiant for healing Wyrdeer's poisoning, and for that Lumina Crash! It embraced its Psychic typing at last. Gardevoir was being fully physical as well, but it lost in the end when Quaquaval went boom, and Wyrdeer struck Juliet with the super effective Sky Attack. But then Mienshao and Infernape IMMEDIATELY got to business, with Mienshao taking the highly effective Psychic Terastal draftee off the field, and Infernape's massive Bitter Blade. Annihilape then came in and the two apes went full Monkey Business on the remaining 4 psychic types. Scorching Sands, Flatter + Struggle Bug, Overheat + Heat Wave, and to end it off, a struggle. Delphox sealed its fate in the end by Tormenting Infernape, and got its comeuppance immediately. Great job Breakers! And I won't lie, Galaxy did great here too! Unfortunately for them, the Breakers broke through.
@@imtheonewhoaskedlol Game 1 was good. Game 2 was massive. And then Game 3 was...very disappointing. But! The OG Ralts evolution gets to move on. And, tracking my predictions this week, out of a possible 12-0: 1-2 for Silphs over Macros 2-1 for Stars over Rockets 1-2 for Galaxy over Breakers. 4-5 total this week. Took Flares over Devons. So if they clean sweep, I end Quarters 7-5 out of 12 games.
The Fairy Fighting collision is still possible! _we say after the actual Fairy/Fighting Pokémon is eliminated_ When Metagross is usually such a threat, this may be one of its rare mistakes all season. But those Fire types, and moves, were well played in the first game from the Breakers. (And the last game, come to think of it) Just when we thought the best tag team we would see was Kommo-o and Annihilape, or Iron Valiant and Metagross, Bronzong and Farigiraf come along and seem nearly unstoppable. If it wasn't for arguably one of the best Perish Plays we've ever seen (outside of a Perish Trap play last season), those 2 may have lasted the whole match. But the Breakers definitely came in with a plan for Game 3 on how to handle Bronzong and Farigiraf. And Annihilape seemingly teaming well with any mon, as Infernape took the lead on this one to help ensure the Breakers move onto the Semi Trial. A match that could have been either sides to take. The type of action we love to see in Victory Road.
@@KingNidoYT Annihilape is just... adaptive. Whether Monkey or Pig, Dragon or Sorceress, that Angry Ape makes it work. And arguably, Annihilape is the Breakers' best asset. Dude beat down the Silphs and after having the stat nerfs of a lifetime, and still came back with more to give. He's lowkey the GOAT of the Veilstone. Not to say the other members aren't valuable too, pretty much everymon on the Breakers did something to contribute to a victory.
Definitely has been on a fantastic run this season. And as you mentioned, very low key when in a side that has so many other solid performers. Makes for a very powerful and well rounded team.
*_LIVE, FROM ANISTAR CITY! IT'S PMB TIME!_* (Try to keep it short, GP...) Welcome to Kalos, mon ami! It's me, GP, accompanied by my pokémon partners, Froslass, Gardevoir, and Hisuian Lilligant. Lisia is down on the field, yet again, perhaps scoring an interview. What an amazing set of matches. Yet, the Breakers move on. Let's try to shorten things, ladies. Who wants to take Game 1? Froslass: Zis match was back et forth. Both sides could 'ardly get ze advantage over ze other, 'owever after a crucial paralysis onto Metagross, ze momentum swapped 'eavily towards ze Breakers. Et, Mienshao proved to be a very scary member, meeting Armorouge with zat Mighty Cleave, zen eliminating ze crippled Metagross with ze Sacred Fire. A well deserved victory for ze Breakers. Very much so. Who is taking Game 2? Lilligant: This match was heavily in favor of the Galaxy! After having seperated the duo of Kommo-o and Annihilape, Bronzong and Farigiraf were amazing! Those two essentially eliminated half of the Breakers, thanks to Gardevoir utililizing Perish Song, and Great Tusk not having enough health to live that Chliroblast. How fitting that you get Match 3, Rose. Gardevoir: This match was what a lot of people wanted to see. Iron Valiant against Gardevoir. And the Breakers had a massive start, Horn Drill onto Farigiraf, and statusing onto Wyrdeer. Though, Iron Valiant and Wyrdeer proved to be an effective tag team. Lunar Blessing to eliminate Wyrdeer's poison, and Misty Terrain to keep Iron Valiant awake. And all seemed great for the Galaxy, until Iron Valiant fell. Because then the Breakers took control. Bronzong was easily eliminated, Exeggutor didn't get to do anything, and Delphox couldn't do anything. The Breakers came back for the win. That Torment at the end gave me Silphs v Macros flashbacks. Indeed. And now, I believe Lisia has an interview for us. Lisia: What a spectacular match, here in Kalos! I'm here with a pair of formidable pokémon, charged up by the Anistar Sundial! Mewtwo X, Mewtwo Y! How would you rate the Galaxy's performance this season? Mewtwo X: Seeing as how we did not make it to a post season last time, Y and myself consider this season a massive success. Granted, we will not be moving forward. Lisia: Do you think that there is anything the Galaxy should take away from these matches, for next season? Mewtwo Y: Absolutely. Though circumstances allowed the Galaxy to have a better season than the prior, those become irrelevant after a certain point. You cannot delay the matches as a strategy, for it will surely backfire. Every pokémon in the Poké Type League, though thier typings and stats may differ, are all working with the same ruleset. They cannot ignore that. Lisia: That sounds kind of familiar...Anyway! Back to you, GP! Wonderful words of wisdom from two very strong Kalos Psychic types. Yet, that is all we have time for today. Join us tomorrow as we head to Hoenn for the Lavaridge Flares hosting the Eterna Devons. Lilligant: *_Whoop their butts, Devons! 3-0 them!_* Right.
And it appears that it will be our last return to Kalos this season, as we thank you, GP and team, for this PMB. The melting away of their last few opponents in the opening game was definitely the separator for the Breakers. Mienshao having a very crucial showing. As did both the Fire/Fighting mons for the Breakers in their success in this series. It made it incredibly unfortunate for K. Exeggutor being stuck opposing them in these contests. The Breakers aggressive play style took game 1, but the endurance and will of the Galaxy shone through in game 2. Bronzong and Farigiraf were so crucial that the Breakers knew they had to handle them quickly in game 3. But then also allowing Iron Valiant to be around so long almost cost them dearly. Both the Galaxy and Breakers gave a game worthy of what any team would want to put forward. We can not wait to see these two sides collide again as this rivalry only seems to be building from here. But for now, the Breakers will move forward and wait to see who they face in the Semi Trial. Their Sinnoh counterparts, making for 2 regional Semi Trials or the blazing Flare, who are well equipped with their own Fire/Fighting knowledge. We hope H. Lilligant is prepared, regardless of the outcome. _that Mewtwo remark sounds like it could go great being spun into a movie script_
@KingNidoYT Cheeky little Pokemon the Movie reference :3 And this interview kinda had to be w/Mewtwos. Kalos literally doesn't have any Psychic legendaries in it's dex. Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and...I completely forgot about Hoopa... Though to my credit! You can't even get Hoopa in X and Y!
Spoilers: Okay, so I lost a lot of what I'd written down here due to stupid browser issues, so I'm trying my best to reclaim what I can remember. Game 1: The Psychic Types took an early lead with their status moves, but the Breakers are proving that they can learn from their enemies, using a Glare of their own on a key foe to put momentum back in their favor. Game 2: The tag team of Farigiraf and Bronzong seemed nigh unbreakable, so the Breakers went for a clever Perish Song to try and take them out. However, the Galaxies realized what they had to do and knocked out one of the Breakers and greatly weakened Great Tusk with their last remaining turn to keep the advantage on their side. Game 3: The Breakers again showing they could learn by going for a perfect Horn Drill to knock out Farigiraf before it could snowball. Wydreer was brilliant in using Misty Terrain to counter the Yawn on its ally, but while Gardevoir was gung ho for fighting Iron Valiant than the latter seemed hesitant to attack its ancestor. Later on, Infernape kept healing itself, including with a great Bitter Blade on Bronzong, and Delphox made the error of healing it again with a Heal Pulse. Now, I'm not confident that that the Galaxies would have knocked out Infernape either way having looked at how the next few rounds went, but Infernape did proceed to go on a rampage and destroy the Galaxies in what had otherwise been a very balanced game following that misplay. Even a Torment couldn't rectify its mistake, and just like that the Galaxies lost the set. Overall, I think both sides proved today that they were capable enough to be in the Elite Four, but the Breakers played better due to learning from observing their foes. A well deserved win, and I wish the Breakers luck as they continue through Victory Road!
To think, in the first game, if someone took an elimination, a follow-up from the opposition usually wasn't too far behind. It may have been great fortune that allowed Mienshao to land that crucial HJK, or the match and overall series may have ended very differently. But then that Normal and Steel based Psychic tag team. They might still be standing strong now if it weren't for that Perish Song. The hits on Bronzong looked like they weren't even leaving a mark on its Levitating frame, and Farigiraf just continued to have its strength restored. The count fell to 0, but by then, it was already too late. But as you touched on so well, the Breakers ability to adapt paid off tremendously. Ridding themselves of their two biggest problems from the previous game quickly. The use of their own healing tactics. This felt like a match worthy of Elite Four contenders. And perhaps there will come a day when we see these two teams face off in even later stages of Victory Road. For now, can not wait to see this rivalry renewed in season 03.

Infernape absolutely went and gave the best performance we've seen it put out. Truly looking to lead a blaze through Victory Road.
Here we go . I want breakers to make it as the underdog in type match up!
Game 1: A brutal 1st match with the breakers breaking out ahead!
Game 2: A very intelligent play that perish seemed to be. But it wasn't enough to catch up.
Game 3: Head to head against the two tera types, and the breakers manage to burn through the weakness with their vital spirits to take the win.
An extremely back and forth contest between two strong wills.
One of the best Perish Songs we've ever seen in the PTL.
And a come from behind win.
Cannot wait to see these sides face off again next season.
