I have often thought that Tally Ho is being built like a fine instrument, so this violin will be a fine match. 🏆 Well done sir!😁
Thanks so much!
My thoughts exactly!
That was awesome! Such a beautiful fiddle and such a kind and thoughtful thing to do for Leo and his crew. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! Thanks so much for watching.
I am continualy amazed at how Tally Ho brings together amazing craftspeople.
Same here!
Thank you so much for creating this instrument for the Tally Ho project. What a wonderful way to honor the project!
I appreciate that! It was a pleasure and an honor.
Leo playing this violin will give some serious "Master and Commander" vibes!
haha YES
Would be great if Greg could be there at the launch of Tally Ho playing sea shanties when she hits the water. What a great series you have put together, your soul is in that instrument forevermore. ❤
I appreciate that!
Really enjoyed this build. It was a real eye opener to see such precision hand crafting.
And I’m looking forward to seeing the Duchess of Desire dancing to fiddle music.
Haha That would be great!!
Shout out to Greg for showing off the fiddle at the end 🙌 amazing result and a masterclass in modern/traditional art. Cheers
Yeah he did a great job! His hands are so big but so delicate and fast.
Such a pleasure to follow along with this fabulous build, Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Thank you fot doin this for Leo and the Tally Ho!❤ now she has a voice🎉
I agree! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch the process.
Beautiful! It has such character. And you got the best endorsement ever at the end by the terrific player: "It's got such a good sound to it, dude." I agree!
GREAT JOB!!!.EVERY BODY THAT HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONAL!!!.AND YOU ARE NO DIFFERENT....YOU HAVE BECOME A PART OF SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL...THANKS 😀 👍 👏
Thanks so much for that!
Great project and a beautiful instrument.
I loved these 6 episodes very much. The workmanship, the pace, the style and music were excellent.
Im so glad. I am looking at making more so stay tuned!
I hope Leo has a place to keep the moisture from warping this beautiful instrument. It's going to be a challenge being on a sailing boat but with a good case and some packets of moisture absorbing material it should be safe from the moisture . I can hardly wait to see Leo play this amazing gift.Leo you are a blessed man with all the wonderful people who have helped you on this project and now are gifting you a great gift .
Thank you for sharing this series with us it was absolutely first class in all respects. The masterpiece you created is worthy of a Tally Ho seal of approval.
Thanks so much! I appreciate it!
I binged myself sick with envy on the Tally Ho fiddle project. The demonstrations, the construction techniques and the supporting commentary and visuals are packed with so much information it’s a tremendously valuable document of human knowledge and craft. Loved it.
Thanks so much! Im so glad you enjoyed it! I have more series to come. I hope you enjoy them as well!
Just amazed at the craftsmanship some people have, watching the love you have making instruments is what perfection is all about. Such a fitting instrument for the Tally Ho and can' wait to see Leo's expression when he sees it.
I can't wait either! thank you
Great wee series ! Can't wait to see it on Talley Ho.
Same here! Should be more series to come so stay tuned.
Great, now a fiddle and a boat that is going to outlast us all :) Thanks for sharing!
haha! Oh I hope so..
Thank you, Daniel, for taking us along on this journey of your fine art wood work, crafting such beautiful sounding Violine! It sets the dot onto the i of Tally Ho, masterfully crafted by our beloved shipwright Leo and his team! We all hope your Violine will become Tally Ho’s lucky charme for all its future adventures and underline her voyages with its beautiful sound!
Fair winds to you all!❤️🙏
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it. Thanks so much for following along!
I'm absolutely blown away with your craftsmanship! Thank you for sharing all of the steps on building this instrument. I never knew how one was made. And I can't wait to hear it and see it on Leo's channel in the future. Thank you Daniel!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch! I can't wait to hear it on his channel as well!
Just beautiful! I’m sure Leo will be thrilled.
Daniel - How wonderful! My grandson and I have been watching Leo's videos together, and he has been studying the violin for several years, so this is a welcome coming together of interests. We met you at the Maker Fair at UofL this past fall (he noted to me later that the bow needed rosin). Thanks for such a clear sense of your process.
Oh thats great!! I hope you enjoy the video and who knows I may do that event again and we can chat. (Yeah I borrowed my wifes bow last minute that day. Didnt think to grab her rosin)
I came here ignorant of anything involving instrument building and learned a lot. I'm a dedicated follower now! Thanks for the education.
Im glad you are along for the ride!
I knew you were making a violin, I watched you make a violin, but you've *made* a violin! Thanks for taking us along on the journey! 🎻

Thanks Daniel, that was incredible to watch. I can't wait to hear Leo play it. I know he was a busker in his younger years, but he has never played on the show. This is a chance to finally see him play. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Take care.🎼🎻

Good lord, the music was SO much better with this final video. Not just the live music at the end, but the music throughout.
Thanks it is me playing a few of the banjos I have made that I still have.
Enjoyed your craftsmanship on the fiddle.
Thanks so much!
This was great! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you liked it!
My brother and sister played string instruments. Brother did violin, and sister did cello. After watching this I have a much better appreciation for why my dad was so nuts about "being gentle" with these instruments. and there is no TH in height....
That was awesome thanks for sharing
You are a good and talented man, and did I mention generous.
I will take the last over the others...thanks you.
Hi, what a great looking end result, really very beautiful. It sounds pretty good to my untrained ear too...........great job. I never realised the "bridge" wasn't fixed...........every days a learning day! A great series, I hope the violin, gives those on Tally-Ho many years of pleasure. All the very best and congratulations, Dave.
Have really enjoyed this series and intend to keep watching future videos. Can't wait to see the violin handover. Thanks
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
That is a beautiful finish love the grain on it. I used to finish staircases and trim and love seeing the different grains. I want to see Leo's face when he sees it. Awesome gift Daniel
Thanks! Well he just got it a couple days ago. Can't wait to see it on the boat.
It's been interesting to see the whole process of making a violin / fiddle. I fully expect Leo to be very happy and future shipmates grateful for your efforts. I look forward to your next project and future videos.
Thanks so much!
Well done JD, what a beautiful piece for this wonderful yacht
Thanks so much
You do such fine work that anyone would be proud to own this violin or fiddle.
Thanks so much!
For a new violin, that sounds wonderful.
Yeah I can't wait to hear and see it age. Well I would like to run across it again in the future.
Splendid! Just a great thing there!

Chapeaux bas.
Nice piece of work and it's so amazing all the people who have been brought together through such an interesting adventure. Absolute blessing to be able to appreciate the skills of so many others you might otherwise never know about.
I think the same thing as I see so many craftspeople gather around the Tally Ho project. I am thankful to be apart of that!
Well done

So glad you liked it!
As a musician and fiddle player a beautiful piece of workmanship!!
I appreciate that! Thanks!
@@JDanielGraham I am interested to know what you would charge for a custom fiddle?
They start at 3,600 and go up from there based on inlay, wood selection, carving etc. Also if it is a crazy cool idea and I get excited about it the price sometimes comes down haha. @@joelhorn5858
