Actually at 1:09:49 Skipper2206 was right: the player still uses the Magician's "standard" power. The "feather" side of the Magician card is used by the Heir when using that Magician. The human players uses the regular side of their Magician.
Hey Paul don’t get me wrong i love how you show and present videos on a matter of rules, you are one of the few capable to explain clearly and flawless but when you’re doing a live game, especially with this kind of complex game you just creating more confusion and difficult to follow as, which is totally understandable, makes lots of mistake and is difficult to understand how the rules works . So i would consider to play a game off camera then present a game making sure on what you are doing
Andrea GRP thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the comment, and this was less than ideal. This morning didn’t go to plan and I was quite ill and had a ton of work to get done before this stream. Doing these videos is time away from my paid work, so I have to limit how much time they actually take me, and this alone was 4 hours out of my day with setup, etc. This wasn’t a tutorial video, more of just a playthrough, but my plan was to at least have fully read the rules beforehand, which sadly I wasn’t able to do. :(
Gaming Rules! I think I agree with the criticism. You, as a games promoter should at minimum read and go through a turn to two of running a simulated game play for a live stream.
Steve George like I said, I would have done if I could. The other alternative was to cancel the stream, but it had been advertised and people were waiting. Didn’t want to let them down. My other videos are usually much better than this. I am producing this content for free in my own time. In a perfect world, I would have had time to prepare. This wasn’t the case today and I did the best I could under the circumstances.
Gaming Rules! Don’t get me wrong, I believe we all get A LOT from the presentations. I think prudently you should make yourself familiar with the rules. Perhaps delay the game play by a couple of days or week to get familiar with the game before doing a live broadcast.
Not sure this is the right sort of video to learn the game from. It is what it is: a live play-through. This was not intended on being a teaching device. For me, i use playthroughs as a form of entertainment. I really enjoyed this video and find the working out of rules to be incredibly useful for when i teach games at the table (what are common misconceptions i need to look for). This is not to say that you cannot learn from a play-through video but it shouldn't be a primary port-of-call. I hope that you are able to learn this game as it is a fantastic, albeit complex, solo game.
