Hi, nice review. I swapped my 1250GS for one of these 7 months ago and haven't looked back. I lowered the suspension on mine too by 30mm at the rear and put the forks up through the yokes to 20mm with no difference in handling - it will still go on the main stand but requires a bit more effort. I also put a shorter side stand on to allow for the lowered suspension. I have the off road pegs fitted and have done some light off roading but the pegs also give another position to put your feet on long motorway trips - more like a traditional bike. Just come back from the Manx GP on it and it was certainly no slouch on the mountain section in sport mode. It shocked a few people! Cheers.
@@jaywhoisit4863 Because the seat height is tall as standard, made worse by being wide. On the standard suspension, I struggled to reach the ground on tip toes. With it lowered, although I can't flat foot it, I can at least get both balls of my feet on the ground. Feels much safer - I'm 5 feet 8 inches tall if that helps.
I have purchased the Harvest Beige color a month ago here in Germany, and looking forward to hit the road. After riding the smaller versions ADv150, realized how amazing the HONDA engineers are!, its like riding in a transformer under you :)
Great review.. having owned one and a TMax you are the first review chap to get its a motorbike pretending to be a scooter. The TMax is a scooter pretending to be a bike but reviewers call it bike like….
Thank you Alberto, I really enjoyed the X ADV it is a versatile machine. Thank you for commenting. The Africa Twin is a mighty machine hard choice to make.
I enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting/sharing. Rarely find a review on this scooter in English. There are some, but again, rarely. Especially one this in depth. Unfortunately, and as far as I know, Honda has no plans to bring this to the shores of North America. I wish they would, but nope. Oh well. I will continue to live/ride vicariously via UA-cam. :)
Thanks for commenting, its a fabulous little thing and lots of fun, I would have loved to have tried it off road but unfortunately did not have the time. I was really surprised how good it was!
Thank you very much for your comments, I think the same as you, it is a great machine, I have had many motorcycles, but this Honda X-ADV is certainly impressive, in Spain it cost me approximately €14,000, it comes with the Top caise accessory. Greetings from Malaga-Spain
Its just the arm chair seating position that’s the problem. When you ride a bike or indeed a horse you also ride with your knees, corner with your body weight. Can’t do this in that position and it leaves you feeling vulnerable at high speeds. Why not create a storage unit in the middle that your knees can hug. Make all the difference. I love these big scooters, and the Burgmans and I’ve owned 2. Perfect for Rome or Paris. But not for touring or country roads.
A valid point I did experience that, but I found I position my feet close to the inner bodywork helped with the feel but the design was always going to be a compromise. Still a great ride though. Thanks for commenting.
David nice video and very special and amazing X adv 750 Honda. I want your opinion. I have a scooter sym mio 100cc and i will buy X adv 750 Honda. Could i ride it? I'm asking because the X adv 750 is at 236kg and my scooter is at 90kg. I have height 1,80 and weight 85 kilograms. (I had no experience with another large motorcycle).
Great video . I’m a big fan of Honda x adv. as a cb650r user . I wanna swap my bike to X adv for long time .but it will cost about $25000 in China !… good bike but toooo expensive
It is about time to swap your cb650r to x adv Tan Z because Honda is now replacing the cb650r to giveway to there new bike(cb750)HONDA HORNET.bit sad because Honda just replace the screaming inline-four into parallel twin but you will be surprised of the upgrades and tech they put it in the HORNET.

Thanks for your comment Karly and thanks for the info on the centre stand, this little beasty certainly surprised me😁
Why did you lower the suspension?

I think you could, but my suggestion would be go to a Honda dealership and sit on one and get the salesman to help you understand the. DCT
@@Davidswordplay thanks you for your answer.
Wish we could get this in the states.
I cannot understand Honda not selling this great little machine in the states, maybe it does not comply with Your regulation? Thanks for commenting.

Unfortunately, Honda doesn’t import into Canada… Why not?
I have no idea, it such fun to ride, I would have thought Canada to be a prime market for this machine.
Strange to do a road test on an off road bike?!
Why?
