You should add tampons/pads for the women. They are so hard to come by. The cheapest box of pads near me is $5, and the cheapest box for tampons is $8.50. That is sometimes all they have, and it's either food or hygiene for some woman. Just a thought!
I was actually homeless from 2014-2016. I've been housed and employed since then but I still have some fears about ending up back on the streets sometimes. This evening I built my own homeless back pack to set my mind at ease. I amazingly fit a full change of clothes, hygiene and health products, and portable electronics in one bag and it only weighs 15lbs . I purposely did not include any food items as I would just frequent available soup kitchens and sign up for SNAP benefits.
Be nice, after all this is only one example on how to help the homeless. Take all your own ideas & use them. Feel free to build your own bag, backpack, & help this world be a better place with our actions.
For food, if there is a sikh gurudwara nearby, do show the homeless the way. Gurudwaras, hindu temples, mosques often offer free food to the homeless. At least their need for food is taken care off. Rest your community can provide.
I do research for NGOs who help the poor. There's a reason why they smoke up or get into drugs. Those crude drugs help them forget hunger, cuts and wounds, maybe even their fate. Streetside drugs are easily available, and they often buy the ones discarded or have expired with their vendor. So stop being a douchbag, get on with some NGO and try to change their luck. If you think "homeless people are a problem" then homeless drugged people are far more dangerous.
god bless you dude you are actually changing peoples life. im working on a project to help the homeless and im very motivated to helping them. your tips are so useful liked and subbed becuase your a star mate!!
All praises to the Most High in Christ for putting it on people's hearts to give! I can tell you put a lot of thought into this and that's so nice of you. You missed the most important thing though, A BIBLE. People should keep in mind the less unnecessary items the more people you will be able to help. Condoms should only be given to the married couples so you're not encouraging fornication. Pads for the women is much more needed. God bless
Serving Yah I agree with giving out a bible as long as it’s the mini kind so the bag won’t be too heavy. But the purpose isn’t to promote a religion, therefore only giving condoms to married couples doesn’t apply here. The idea is to stop the spread of diseases.
@@Krims7 relax there buddy, I'm not religious either but religion has provided humans with a moral framework since the days we were still throwing sticks at animals to eat. If you dont need religion then stay away, but dont put them down just for their beliefs
I think this is great but I have to disagree about medication. I would provide Tylenol and vitamin c because it’s too hard to get to ER for aches and pains and vitamix c because you need it in your diet.
Speak with your local stores/delis/diners etc to check if there are coupons available with them. coupons that can be given to the homeless to shop. You pay for the food, but the homeless get to eat. and coupons are easy to redeem. Maybe at the backdoor if the restaurant/diner/deli don't want them to come in. Coupons can be printed in breakfast, Lunch, and dinner sets in to 365. Food establishments too will have to come ahead and help. I'm in India, I thought of doing that, but our local temples, mosques, gurudwaras provide free meals to them anyways, so I dropped the idea. Also, keep that Tshirt black or muddy brown colour, so even if it gets dirty, it won't show up that easily. You could print a good message on it, urging people to help the wearer.
Thanks for the share. Looking for ideas on similar care package for migrants but would need to be sustainable for my budget normally its 15-30 migrants .
Job applications for local businesses may prove usual. Your intent is to help them. not enable them. I would say give them all the same high vis color pack; 1. for safety to not get ran over... 2. So you know if you have helped them before and to not give a full new pack to the same person.
Alphastarseeds You always want to be aware of the contents of the bag so you know who you should be giving it to. So you're absolutely right. I do make bags for women as well.
Im also a floridian...Enjoyed your video❤ you definetely deserve more subscribers! I made a smiliar video about making blessing bags would love if youd check it out! I will be posting it tomorrow, sat Nov. 9th. ..your newest subbie 😉
Move items away from in front of you so we can see, move backpack to side, present object in an unobstructed view, present the items to the camera, you talk to fast for a teaching video ,we have to rely on your words, good ideas, not so good presentation! Shalom!

Have you tried Walmarts brand. I used to pick them up for my gf and they seemed pretty cheap
You get get a good amount at the dollar store for the pads maybe not as much for the tampons but I dont use them so I dont really know
My pads cost 1 dollars (from the 99 cents store)
How nice of you to do this for the homeless I'm homeless myself and I feel you made some great choices.
How are you now?
Dude, I would love you if I was homeless. How generous!!!!!!😍👍
I've been wanting to give to the homeless. Thank you for sharing your idea.

How much did you spend all together including the bag?
These are great tips! I’m planning to make care kits for the homeless. Thank you !!!
This was incredibly helpful and informative. Some really great tips here
You are truly awesome!💫
That is so nice of you
there's a chance the person receiving the pack might have low blood sugar, so putting some hard candy in there might not be such a bad idea
f u r r y You can have hard candy if your sugar is low cause my doctor said it’s good
Micrfiber towel is smaller. Mylar emergency blankets are cheap. Under another blanket keeps them warm.

Stick to sanity towels because the ladies leave them in longer then they should. It's so bad for them and it causes problems.
Would love a list of the supplies and cost.

Ask the homeless directly what they might want. They can give you the best answers.
About how much did you spend per bookbag?
