  • As y'all know, Falling In Reverse is generally not my cup of tea. However, the composition and vocal work on "Zombified" is absolutely top-tier. Ronnie Radke balances bravado and and nuance in an excellent balance in all of his performances, and this is no exception. Lets hang out while I react to and analyze Falling In Reverse Zombified!

Ronnie has had a rough life
From coming from a rough home to being addicted to drugs at a early age to going to prison (for something he didn't do) and in-between all that being in his previous band then being kicked out then starting Falling in Reverse

Super late to the party but it’s so nice to hear people who actually know what they’re talking about explaining the talent that Ronnie has with his vocals (and creating music in general). I understand he’s a really controversial character but I find it SO childish when people say he has no talent just because they don’t like him. It’s just really refreshing to hear you judge the music for the music and not be influenced by all the other stuff. So thank you ☺️

Ronnie will LOVE this reaction if he sees it! As a vocalist, my favorite part (that seems to go unnoticed by reactors) is the high note that he sustains as a backing vocal at 11:53. That is a LEGIT slide and a difficult place in the voice to do that. For example, starting that higher (to me) is actually much easier technically and Rodney's voice is very similar to my own in terms of structure/timber/strengths... although his is OBVIOUSLY much better than mine! 😆
Very beefy note for being that high... he is extremely gifted AND very technically sound... a true student of sound. That is a VERY rare combo to do all of this at such a high level.
My currect top-5 favorite singers, in no order: Ronnie Radke, David Phelps, Dennis Tvardick, Drew Mailloux and Spencer Stoleto.

This song is less about Ronnie's life and more about the world we live in today. Especially the past 6 years or so from the start of the tumult of politics in our nation. Every year it's gotten worse and Ronnie is speaking on that, at a risk. Big props to Ronnie for addressing this and risk getting "canceled" himself. It really shows a lot about his character. Definitely a dude I wish I could've met and grew up with. Seems like a super down to earth and physical person.

    • @Pethito
      @Pethito 2 роки тому +2

MIght just add this: Ronnies got "canceled" times and times before, at least it was tried to cancel him....I think from all i know about him and his past, hes got his experiences with the topic on a very personal level...
But i couldnt agree more with your comment. Im not an American, i live in Germany and we have our very own political problems to say it this way, but obviously we get to see your turmults in politics and everything else.
Thats why i think this song can also be interpretated as not only for one specific country/region, it can be put on every part of the world, maybe the world, real and "digital world". Okay obviously the "welcome to america" line kind of ruins my thoughts here :D but you surely know what i mean. This world is going crazy these past years in particular, just glad people like Ronnie dont shut their mouth. Hes a genourine good guy, he talks a lot of truth and he has an unmatched talent. Thats for sure.

I love how you analyze and explain the technical aspects of Radke's voice, and how much you appreciate his mastery of his craft. I know there is a lot to take in and disect in a reaction video with this level of musicianship. You clearly have a passion for vocals and a gift for communicating how these techniques work. I understand that and have the same passion for piano. I discovered mine a little late in life. Anyway, my only criticism of your reaction is the visuals are just as amazing as the voice, and music. I would like to hear you touch more on the deep meaning of the zombie cheerleader and mirror for example. Im sure you later go back and see these things. You called swat truck an ambulance for example. The mic stand very significant just these little details that give the song a little more badassery I feel deserve more of your attention and I would like your analysis of those as well. New follower! Dude- first off, get ready to be spammed bc anyone that can do metal the way you do, (And I've only heard a wee bit so far) I trust their opinion. Second, I'm obsessed with Ronnie Radke and his voice. You haven't even reached the peak of what this man can do! *Watch the world burn* is literally a masterpiece and you need to hear it! He really flexes in every way possible and I'm stressing this to you! YOU NEED TO WATCH IT! After that... Voices in my head, Popular Monster and then listen to his latest, a Papa Roach reimagining ...last resort. 😮 Record every second! 🖤

Need to check out this new band called DragonCorpse. It’s a deathcore/power metal mix. The vocalist just put out a one take video that needs your reaction because he’s on another level

Mark, I just want to say that I'm a huge fan and thank you. I've been into metal for the better part of 20 years ever since I heard band called Zao. (I'd love to see your reaction to one of their songs, maybe Xenophobe or Ship of Theseus?) They're the reason I wanted to be a vocalist and (because I didn't know what I was doing) I screwed up my voice. Harsh vocals have always fascinated me and I love hearing your analysis of how/why. Also, you have introduced me to so many new bands. Looking forward to new content and keep up the awesome work.

Hey a new viewer here! If you want a song where Ronnie is screaming/growling more I would recommend you reacting to ‘Don’t Mess with Ouija Boards’ I know it’s an old song but it really shows how he’s improved over the years and just how long he has been working on his vocals

I see this is a year old reaction. Loved it by the way. New here but Ronnie Radke / Falling in Reverse brought me here the other day.
Since this is a year old I will assume that by now you will have heard the "controversy". I am to to the whole thing man and what I figure so far is what I hear Ronnie saying here. He has gotten older, matured, changed and although still outspoken for sure mellowed out. I don't see him starting anything but he refuses to just ignore people talking shit.
Anyway... love his all round talent. There are some videos out there that kind of break down the differnt things people who want to dis him are holding onto. Most are just wrong and if right he has acknowledged and gone on. Like in the video.. there is the one part where he throws the microphone stand and kills a zombie with it going through its head. Many MANY years ago he stupidly (not with malice) threw 3 micorphone stands out into the audience. One person that got hit by one had to be taken to the hospital. He took responsibility of stupidity of it and learned from it. (he adds those little easter eggs in his vids) He is a smart guy and a wicked sense of humor.

The starting riff seems a bit similar to a certain Disturbed song and the little vocal percussion is a definite ode to David, damn the execution though💥.

I'm not a super vocal nerd, but I dabble. That said, I feed one the vocal notes in Halestorm's "Familiar Taste of Poison" like it's my last meal.
