    I tie up flies like these with a lot of orange and target halibut in my lagoons here on the west coast with great success ..... articulated 4" to 8" inches long . Im hucking them with a 6 wt. up to 8 wt. rods . But yea for some reason orange is the flavor the halibut love here ......

    New technique with the bump/cone for me with bucktail. May lend itself to flatwing technique.
