Used this exact pattern on Black Friday this year and released a 9" and 13" at 36 , size 18, oh what fun the Mad is in the winter. Nice video, nice tie.
Hello Ron at MRO great job with everything. Love this pattern. One possible suggestion: Zoom in on fly at 90⁰ angle. (my eyes aren't as good as they once were) Thanks for sharing and look forward to more videos from your channel.
Thx! Will b either buying these from u or making them with ur suggested materials by the end of May. Best way to fish these on the Mad will be my question when i stop in.
Will you make a video on how to use the threader and how to thread the threader and some other basic things I am just getting into tie flying thank you :)
Thanks for watching. Brian's book on the Mad River, which was published in 1996 has been out of print for a long time. He's working on an update and hopes to have it done this Fall. It will of course be available in our shop and on our website. (BTW, if we promote it on UA-cam, it's available on our website.)
Compliments! You used the correct terminology of "abdomen" instead of the ever pervasive "ass-end." The real question is which option you use off-camera...

You had me at stupid.
Thanks for watching. We think he did that on purpose.
How much difference is there between small and brassie wire? Would it hurt the pattern to use small instead?
Send that question over to the shop at admin@madriveroutfitters.com and they can help you there. Thanks.
Would it hurt use copper wire?
Please send your questions over to the shop and they will be happy to help. Thanks.
Awesome video. Which vise is being used in the video?
Brian ties on a Regal. Thanks for watching.
Why do you cover it in uv epoxy?
Mint Berry Crunch Please send all questions directly to the shop and they will answer you there.
What brand are the lights are you using?
Sorry but we would have no idea. Maybe send an e-mail to the shop and they can get it to the production guy?
Super.
Thanks for watching.
What light is that?
Michael Dougherty Think he has a Loon. You can e-mail him at the shop and he could tell you for sure though.

Stop in the shop or give him a call and see?
I tie the same style of fly for 10 years, but I use a Arizona Simi seal.
I call it a CBQ Special.
@@ccaddoify Cool. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.
Hahahha im back looking for more simple flys
What tipped you off on this one?

Thanks but the video was "pre-recorded" Can't go back and change it now.
Uv glue makes the worst patterns look good .u cant go wrong with it
Darius White You calling this the worst pattern? Eh?

looks like another version of a RAM
Not sure what RAM is but thanks for watching.
@@Madriveroutfitters look up Madison River in Montana and the RAM caddis. Its been a very popular fly on that river for like 50 years.
So , is it true we care more about how a fly looks than the fish...
Probably so?
