- This is an awesome version of the HBX Truggy. The 16890A comes with 2 batteries and a set of paddle tires for some sand action. I can't recommend these enough so check it out.

It's a cool truggy! I have the older version, this one is way more advanced and upgraded, the old one was already great, this is awesome! Nice video to showcase it!
HBX makes some good stuff.
HBX makes awesome budget rigs. Great video, I'm super jelly of the sand. I got a foot of snow to play in but....
they definitely do make some sweet rigs.
Great RC! I love that you get paddles with it for that price, I bet if you tried 3s and paddles it would fry the electronics 👍
For sure 3s and paddles will load it up a bit. These HBX stuff are pretty good out the box.
That thing is kicking ass for 2s! I beat the piss out of mine at the skate park and it just wont break.
That's why I'm a fan of these HBX RCs. They can take a bashing!
Hello
Thanks for the vid! I've been watching a few over and over trying to find good ideas and compassions for my 1st RC
Would someone PLEASE tell me what's the difference between this (16890A) and the 89A Pro?? Thanks in advance
Mainly want to mess around on dirt trails and stuff
one is a truck body the other is a truggy body. Both similar chassis and reliable little trucks. Great for some jumps and off road bashing.
I have something to ask if i may ? I'm new to RC's and i just got this car ! Everyone is telling me not to store the batteries with a full charge on them but in the instruction manual for the truck it says in black backround with white letters
( fully charge the battery before useing the truck and before storing it ) the other thing is everyone is telling me that i need a Balance charger but in the Owners manual it says ( only use the USB charger that came with the car ) i Actually talked to Haiboxing and they told me to only use the USB charger and to fully charge the batteries to store them so whos right Haiboxing or the guys in the comment's on youtube ???
I personally charge all my batteries with a hobby grade charger unless it's those proprietary plugs. I usually figure some sort of way to use my hobby grade charger with adapters. I always store my batteries at about half charge. Batteries tend to be happy at that voltage and are more stable. Leaving lions and lipos fully charged or discharged can affect the batteries lifespan and be less stable at those voltages. A good charger will have a storage charge setting amd that is why I prefer a hobby grade charger.
Can someone help me ? The throttle just stopped working ! Moves forward about to feet and then nothing. Can turn the wheels both directions , but no forward or backward throttle , batteries fully charged , still no movement🤷🏽♂️
maybe bad battery or esc. Have you checked the battery with a cell checker? It might even be a receiver issue but you have steering. Unfortunately hard to tell without the rc infront of me.
I've been asking everyone in hbx land where to get pinion gears for the 16889a pro and nothing. The ones on Amazon are 2.5mm shaft and mine has the 3.17mm shaft on it for some reason. I thought I bought a car with readily available parts but cannot find the pinion anywhere.
I've never tried to regear mine. Probably a weird size you might find on aliexpress or try messaging HBX on Facebook. They are very helpful.
hello friend, what model is you from hbx? is the 16889a conventional, what difference is there? because it seems even bigger, can you explain? thank you
The 16889a is a brushless model that's 16th scale. It has oil filled shocks and metal drivetrain as well.
Do you think only using the stock charger for it would be ok for the lipo battery? (Im new to RC and this car looked pretty nice but I heard that u need to buy better chargers for lipo batteries)
Stock charger works just make sure to never charge unattended. Better chargers will charge faster and have more setting adjustments for charge speed. I've been using stock USB chargers from my minis and its been ok. Just remember how long your battery usually last you. So when you know your going to store your rc just run it for about half that time and that should get your lipo close to storage charge.
Where do I get in uk
not sure unfortunately but you can contact haiboxing on Facebook and see if they can help you out.
Is the 2 year warranty worth getting?
I've never purchased a warranty. These HBX trucks are pretty solid. If it comes defective contact HBX directly they are pretty good.
Is this car worth the money?
In my opinion it's well worth it. You really have to want to break it for these to break. I have had good luck with HBX stuff so far.
@@RunThatRC appreciate it I’m new to all this trying to find something cheap but durable. Wanna learn about them before I get a real expensive one👍🏼
You won't be disappointed with these HBX trucks. I genuinely enjoy them as much as any expensive RCs I've owned. I did own a Xmaxx, Tmaxx and a losi fifth scale sct at one point but not really into those anymore because the space you need to run them and I don't have a "I only run expensive stuff because everything else isn't a real Rc" complex.
All it takes is some good research nowadays with all the info in our fingertips. It's easy to find the budget Rc gems out there that actually are as good as the name brand stuff.
