Tatiana is gifted to be able to do this with the ease she does. Fortunately for her, in her younger years, she was able to hear something (Otep) that sparked her to do this. Her years of practice and experimenting have been fruitful as she has matured into a world class singer - just not in the "traditional" structure. Each of the members of this band have different stories on how they got to where they are, but the undeniable truth is that these guys together make a really incredible band. Their talent is in every single note, whether that note is in metal, reggae, jazz, or whatever else they play. I would love too see you return to Jinjer live with either Who Is Going To Be The One (Live OMV) or with the masterpiece that is Pit Of Consciousness Live in Kiev.

Oh awesome, I didn't know Jinjer and Otep were linked. Otep was one of my favorite bands back in the Bush era. They were criminally underrated.

I just love your shocked face when Tati growls and then amazed when she seemlessly switches styles. Plus your body language is so expressive as you hide behind your arms, ready to fight or flight.

Great Reaction! What you need to do is get to know Tatiana better. There is a video (8 minutes long) called Tatiana Shmayluk (Jinjer) Best Moments #1. Most of the video is Tatiana just goofing around like playing acoustic guitar and singing (not growling). This is not a recommendation for a reaction, just to help get to know Tatiana better. There is also a #2 and a #3 if you like the first one.

if more people just checked the lyrics... the fear of metal would go away, its just a different form of expression, with attitude. one of the safest places you can be is on the rim of a mosh pit, at a metal show.

I think you would enjoy Tatiana's collaboration with 12 Foot Ninja on their song "Over and Out" (OMV) She spends most of the song harmonizing with a small amount of growling for accent. The quirky Australian humour is worth the reaction in itself.

Yeeesss twelve foot ninja is a brilliant band and the collaboration is amazing.
      I second this!

Thank you for mentioning TFN and Tatiana's collaboration on 'Over and Out'!!! They too are awesome, brilliant, metal core genre hoppers worthy of Tatiana's amazing vocal skills and power. Great match-up between her and Kin - who's vocal skills are also super adaptive. Two of my favorite bands of all time that everyone needs to know! Check out TFNs acoustic covers on their 'Slay at Home' video from June 2020 - these Aussies are amazing!

I love the reggae vibe of this song. With the cat at the beginning, we get to see a little of her personality. I second "Way Down" covered by Geoff Castelluchi, but be sure to watch all the way to the end.

They just released a brand new video for Call Me A Symbol. Also, they got approval to go on tour as cultural ambassadors and will be at Resurrection Fest in Spain on July 1st.

Great reaction. I'm so glad you can move outside your comfort zone and appreciate the talent in this singer and this band. I would encourage you to see them live (not just on you tube) if at all possible. I saw them earlier this year in NYC and it was a show I will never forget!

Tatiana is fabulous ALL the TIME! If you wanna check out something different from her, she sings with another band Lions At the Gate "Find My Way" and as usual she is awesome and beautiful as ever in the video. I love that woman, she's so talented!

I am so lucky to see Jinjer live end of next week at Hellfest in Clisson, France. In view of the war in Ukraine, it would have been understandable had they decided not to perform. On the other hand, they can probably do more as ambassodors for their country than they could otherwise. Anyway, I'll let you know how amazing (or not) Tati is. Great reaction btw.

You should really react to Arch Enemy If You want more female fronted metal bands. They are an famous Melodic Death metal band from Sweden. Songs like Nemesis, The Eagle Flies Alone and No More Regrets are some of their best ones.

I love your reactions and honesty. I would like to mention 2 videos of Jinjer you will like because its Tatiana with her beautiful clean voice through nearly all of the videos. Few growls just super gorgeous voice: WALLFLOWER official video also Bad Water live. Her on stage and it feels like u are in 3rd row. All soft and clean vocals. Trust me u will enjoy both. Luv u

The growling is done with the false vocal folds, not your true vocal folds. It is a totally different set up. She truly is an amazing singer.
