I personally think these type of comment are cringy but this man is genuinely one the best youtubers I've watched he's so informative (for an example) I didn't think quickley was even an ok defender and he showed why he's one of the best and he's great at breaking down the complexity of certain things and is all around an amazing youtuber!!!
crazy how a buyot market signing which usually don’t make much of impact but pat bev has been able to make a impact on the bulls defense and seemingly given them new energy
crazy how a guy like Beverley got picked up by the 10th seed Bulls. You'd expect him to be snatched by a contender. He is a good veteran to have on your bench.
Beverly had a plan going into the season the only difference was that LeBron, AD and company probably didn't felt it was necessary for Pat to be a voice or a spark in the locker room. But Chicago was in desperate need of that.
This breakdown at 6:19 needs to be required viewing for all the Bulls fans who try to talk shit about Caruso because he doesn't score, there is more to the game than offense, and that man understands his strengths
This just proves my theory that Lonzo would solve all of their issues. Pat Bev might bring more energy, but Lonzo is better in every other way. The defense would still be good if not better, the spacing would be better and the ball movement too
Yeah, remember early last season when bulls were considered as contender? That was the best bulls lineup in a long time. Vuc, zach, DeMar, AC and Lonzo is a deadly starting lineup. With Ayo and Coby coming from the bench, they really were deadly in the first half of last season.
Ppl have been saying this since last year when he went down. We need to move on from this line of thinking since it's 50 50 he will ever even play again much less be the player he was pre injury.
I love these clips. I wish Lonzo was healthy, because watching him and Caruso terrorize offenses was my favorite thing to watch. Still, it's amazing to see a team defense that makes players like Zach Lavine and Vucevic look like plus defenders. It really goes to show that coaching, and a team that buys into the coaching, can make a big difference. Same thing as the Kings on Offense. A team that no one expected much from, but they bought into some good coaching, and are the 3rd seed right now in the West.
@@williammccormick984 he pretty consistently maximizes defensive performance with his rosters which is an aspect of greatness. Offensively he's in the stone age though.
I’ve watched every game this year, and they have come along way. Defense had its issues at times this year. They have really improved on rotations and team defense. Major lapses earlier in the year. I still think their weakness is defending the three. Most teams try to get hit from three because that’s how you beat the bulls. But, there defense is very solid right now. They can still get out of synch, but are very solid most of the time. The winning spree has to do with defense, but Zach playing like an all star has been one of the biggest reasons they are winning.
Absolutely, Zach has been the clear-cut best player on the team since the ASB. He's shooting out of his mind and shown so much craft and explosion getting to the rim. I think a lot of folks underestimated the knee surgery recovery coming into the season.
I am one of those Bulls fans that was so frustrated with the Bull's season that when they didn't do anything at the trade deadline. But the addition of Pat Bev and the new defensive schemes have allowed Lavine and Derozan to do what he does best. Before you could tell there was alot of pressure on Derozan, Vucevic, and Lavine to fill a void on defense that Lonzo and Javonte left with their injuries. And besides some flashes from Vucevic at the rim none of those 3 are really wired toward that style of defensive play.
Not to get crazy but a top 5 defense and two guys who can get white-hot and bury a team is a combination none of the other play-in teams are equipped with. I really hope they make it to the playoffs proper.
I really appreciate the way you pronnounce each word. I'm learning English and I'm a huge fan of Chicago bulls so its fanstastic to know more about it . Moreover, your defense explanation is something I haven't seen in other channels.
Aside from a full season of Patrick Williams, a relatively healthy Alex, and an improving Coby, Billy Donovan has done a good job of adjusting his defensive scheme after losing Lonzo. The Beverley pickup was a big deal and showed a little bit of what the Bulls could be with a healthy Lonzo.
I would never call Zach a good defender, but he's put in some decent effort, and it's noticeable. The D is more to modern standards with repeated switching; Beverley is a good defender at a couple positions. Patrick Williams is a nice big body who can even get in the way of guards, too. Vooch may be the biggest weak link (Coby isn't good either) but they've managed as a team. I think it helps that they won't get Lonzo, so they can move forward mentally with what they have.

The Patrick Beverley Effect is real

He did the same thing on the wolves

@@reivelt3715 I don't know if they were considered contentenders, but they were definitely capable of being a top 5 seed.

Hes done
Its a damn shame...but we gotta face reality, Lonzo is very, very likely done. If he does ever come back, he'll be a shell of himself😔
Remember when Caruso was talked about everywhere?
Now that he's not in LA anymore NOBODY in media is mentioning his name anymore.
Bulls are a dangerous play-in opponent. Heat or whoever is matching up to them better not sleep

CaruZo was an absolute wall early last season. I really hope I get the chance to see it again.
Except Billy Donovan isn't a great coach.

Patrick Williams is one of the best wing defenders in the NBA
Really 😂😂😂😂 in Lakers uniform Beverly Dogsh*t 😂😂😂😂
I'm impressed with The Bulls defense, hopefully they can become an Elite offense again.

lakers?
@@hazelsmith919 Finished with the 13th best defense.
The Patrick Williams stat that JJ reddick said the other day was crazy, he should be all defensive too but I doubt he’ll get it
what did he say and when did he say it

Keep it up man, every video is a banger
Great vid love watching your vids keep up the good work
Same thing happened when we had a 3 and d pg guy like Lonzo.
How does this channel only have 65k subs? Hella underrated, very informal but make it easy to understand. This channel will be big in notime.
Great vid, Alex. Nice to see my favorite Magic player of all time in Vooch showing some improvements on defense.
Great bulls break down i hope u do more this year

Billy’s a great defense and culture coach but I feel like his offensive game plans aren’t up to par, maybe it’s just the players tho
Great video man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Vuc been studying lopez

more Bulls fans should see it
Go bulls!!
they should get nic claxton
Raptors traded offensive DeRozan for another DeRozan with defense and won a title in the same season
They're a low key black sheep team, these guys can compete with any team. If they get into the playoffs watch out.
No chance for me Caruso gets to make an all defense team playing 65 games and only 24 min per
Unless the Bulls can somehow get rid of the Ball contract, sadly this team hit its ceiling.
fr
Yea I'll be surprised if he ever plays again it all went to shit when he went down
Bulls are a flop😂
Lakers so 😂😂😂😂😂
