      Then you have JS, a language that tries to steal popularity from java (for some reason) while having 0 of its perks and not even having static typing as an option. Where everything is just a dictionary of Strings in a trenchcoat with a makeshift compatibility layer for HTML.

      New PC's have a surprisingly outstanding endurance. While old PC's are more prone to break to static and old HD Drives can break easily with a fall or by shaking it, new ones can resist hits, strong movement, irregular and low quality electrical sources due to new, high quality power supplies. Just look at Myeester's (not sure how to write it lol) test PC. It has lots of bent pins in the CPU socket and has a lot of weird liquids which were tested as thermal pastes and it still runs fine.

    • @lucyxchan6808
      @lucyxchan6808 6 місяців тому +1

      @@YatagarasuTomiyasu it's not suprising, since the pin layout where multiple pins are responsible for the same function was even in the Intel Dualcores. SDDs can also function in older PCs without great problems, namely the only 2 i encountered were that the reading speed of older CD-ROM Readers and Floppy disk Readers can't keep up with the SSD. The problem of static electricity is due the dumb decision to use galvanic steel housing for the PSU that interacts with the magnetic field of the transformer unit. Painted units don't have that Problem.
      But i must concur that old PCs still have the disadvantage of leakage current and that of failing capacitors. Both of them are age related problem that will also occur in an PC from 2020 in 10 years.
      Really, the only advantage i see in an new PC is the speed of handling Software. Due to greater Performance new PCs are powersinks that tend to overheat and they chip away at the durability of their components very fast due to worse quality and greater electrical burden...

    TBF, when a brand-new super powerful computer runs slower than it's supposed to, that's usually a sign something's wrong. When an older computer runs slow, that means it's working correctly, in fact it might be even more concerning if it suddenly started running really fast.

    On the bright side, if you befriend a computer sweat, they _might_ give you a really good mouse for free! My mom and I have fancy gaming mice n' s**t because my younger brother is constantly churning through them.
