    I put the sugar to 3/4 cup but next time it will be even less. When it was finished I added 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and some Ghirardelli’s dark chocolate melts, about 1/2 cup of them. It is outstanding, and decadent!

    If you want to keep the cornstarch from lumping, mix the cornstarch in with the cold water before you incorporate in your sauce pan with the other ingredients! 😁😁

      This is what my mom always made us whenever we needed hot fudge. When I grew up and moved out I made the mistake of buying the stuff from the store.. never again, and especially since it really is simple to make :) Thank you so much for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

    If I store it in the fridge and reheat it on low on the stove, will this stay pourable for a few hours? Hoping to serve this at my daughter's first birthday party. Having ice cream sundaes! :)

    Not bad. It's a little sweeter than I like my hot fudge, I think I'm going to try it with 3/4 cup of sugar next time, but the texture and mouth feel are just about perfect. It's definitely better than what comes out of the jar from the grocery store, thanks for sharing.

    • @KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven

      Yeah, lowering it down to 3/4 cup of suger should do the trick. And you could add an extra 1 teaspoon of cocoa power to help cut down on the sweetness as well and improve the text.

    I made this tonight, and it was either the brand of butter I used, or too much. I stirred it forever and could never get it completely incorporated in the sauce. Having said that, the flavor was good

      So great hearing from you! I thought maybe I had lost ya lol. Someone had made an unpleasant comment and as I was deleting it, I accidentally deleted one of your comments. I'm still learning all the technical sides of this youtube stuff ha ha. My mom loves chocolate too so this stuff was always a treat when she'd make it for us. I'll try and get the cream puff recipe from her and get it up on video soon. Thank you so much for your support! Means the world to me :)

    Looks yummy. Can this be stored in a jar in the fridge, if so how long would it stay good for?

    • @domesticallydriven3942
      @domesticallydriven3942  5 років тому +1

      Absolutely! I use a mason jar, or a plastic container with a lid (if there are any leftovers!) It should stay fresh for a week. My husband and I just finished off the last of this tonight and it was perfect over some mint chip ice cream. Thank you so much for watching!
