I wanted the 6.4 for years then I learned more about engines and found out the 6.1 likes boost takes mods better and has WAYYY better power potential with no forged bottom end it can take 550 wheel without forged pistons and more with forged pistons and it’s a more rare model making it my choice since it’s a lower compression engine
On an SRT an aftermarket exhaust is a waste of money. The mid muffler is the best bang for the buck for sure. Long tubes are the only thing worth spending on in the exhaust department.
I’m going from a 2013 RT 4 door to a 2009-10 SRT8 2 door which I will be boosting , shaker hood and hellcat rims and widebody , vircrez forged carbon steering wheel
I'm in the beginning and I was like upgrade aaaah more like a down grade people shit on those scat I've never heard no one shit on a srt8 just saying still watching Update scats are not that bad but im Bias to the 6.1, can easily give her boost and she will take it like a champ 6.4s are good if your keeping it mostly stock. thats all ill say about that but hella of a good video guys keep up the good content
You won’t fucking believe it but I was JUST THINKING TODAY how I never see Aerostars anywhere! My mom used to have a few, especially the “sport” lol I have a 6.1 Charger but the shifts in the 6.4s are amazing!
Seeing any clean vehicle from the 80s or 90s will get me pumped up. I'm sure my wife never tires of hearing, "Babe! Did you see that Lumina? It is cleannnnnnn!"
The title is kind of dumb. I mean who's really gonna want the older car with less horsepower over the newer car with more horsepower and the updated interior.
Some people prefer the older body style kid? lol Your opinion is exactly that YOURS and irrelevant to anyone else. the 6.1’s are incredibly rare and in good condition will be worth a ton in the future as rare classic cars. Not to mention they are much more reliable than the 6.4 Lastly who cares about stock horsepower output when you can easily slap a supercharger and bolt ons on either and make 600+whp lol The “newer is always better” mentally you have is one of a child which you probably are.
@@hre5183so glad someone called out that comments ignorance. I’ll spend $4000 on a 6.1 and $2500 on a used hellcat super charger and keep up with hellcats. You’ll spend $6000 on a 6.4 and if you even dare boosting it you’re gonna be buying ya self a new 6.4😂 I’m selling my 6.4 crate for a 6.1 for this very reason. Not hard to make a 6.1 beat a 6.4 either
I picked a 07 srt8 over a scat so I’m one of the people ur asking about lol. The body style is lovely decent power and it doesn’t take much to build up even with little to no mods I’ve kept up with cars and beat later model cars so for a 16 year old car it holds its own. I still want a 7th gen srt8 with the 6.4 but this 6.1 is as good as it gets

You’re ignorant. Just because you have an “opinion” doesn’t mean you have to express it.
@@hre5183I like the 392 but I rather have a 6.1 hemi cause it's more rare and special
