I am keto for 8 years at least. I was stalled and just gained weight the last 2 1/2 years. So I consulted a keto foodconsultant. He told me to eat more fiber (veggies) And les extra fat, most fat from the food natural. And a little good fats . It is not a lot of extra carbs from the veggies, I stil am in keto, but the weight is dropping down now like crazy. It works for me. I am happy!
CGMs are not accurate For a glucose reading but they do show trends very well, which helps you know to eat or not eat. You must check with a finger stick for an accurate reading.
Thanks for sharing your glucose readings eating mor carbs. I wish my gl responded like yours. I have been weak CGM off and on for a year. I’m definitely no insulin resistant. But also 67 yrs, I’m find for me a nod 1 even if I combine some healthy carbs with protein and fat, I still spike 60-120 pts, so sigh I need to keep my carb down. With New non prescription CGMs it will be really fun to see how folks do !
I am 70, have been keto 3 years and have the exact same experience. Glucose spikes with even minimal carbs...even my homemade kefir and homemade l.reuteri yogurt!. So sad!
Love these higher carb videos. Our macros are almost the same! I did keto for a couple years but feel better and am more satisfied adding healthy, whole food carbs
Hi Nili. Thanks for the video. How do you find wearing your cgm on the underside of your arm? Do you always wear an extra cover over it, do you think they stick well for the 14 days or do you have to change them in that time window? What brand of adhesive cover are you using? I go an adhesive and it was fairly useless which is why I’m asking.
I love my cgm! Only had it a couple of months. I asked you once in comments “how did you like AG1? Was it beneficial or did it conflict?” I’m worried I’m not getting enough from my diet. Can you give me an opinion? Thank you Nili
Hey NILI 😊, I left you a comment/ question on the video from a couple of days ago where you made the SIBO yogurt. When you have a chance, can you. Please give me a e some feedback. I wish I could post photos. Thanks & I love you, your family & your channel!!!
Dang i could never go back to carbs. I will have a piece of watermelon or tomatoes i grow myself in the summer but thats it. I dont even eant to eat anymore but i have to and love protein shakes. I can live off them and never cook again😂
Indigo, I’ve noticed that in many of your videos, you use and consume a considerable amount of pre-cooked, packaged, and/or powdered foods, ingredients, and supplements. Your pantry has more powdered ingredients than I even knew existed. I know you are sponsored by some of these manufacturers, but do you ever feel like you’ve just traded one form of an ultra-processed diet for another in an attempt at improving overall health? I realize that you look for clean ingredients in these packaged/powdered foods, but it’s difficult to know how foods are altered during processing and packaging. For true optimal health, why not just simplify and stick with real whole foods?

I'm glad added carbs and more convience foods is working for your busy life schedule. Will miss your keto recipes.
I still eat lots of keto things so the recipes aren't going anywhere!
@@IndigoNiliGood to know! Love your recipes. Glad what your doing is finally helping your health 😀

Yes I found them to be not so accurate, when I compare to finger sticks

There are fb groups to give support with gmcs and your phone model has a lot to do with them being effective or not.

You are right. She should plant a wheat field and harvest it herself!
@@tomaccino That’d be weird … pretty sure she doesn’t eat gluten. (And yeah, I got the sarcasm.)
Avoid processed foods regardless of what the packaging says.
