I think the tie down might have done the damage. Time for a dolly and hammer, remove that drawer or maybe top two and just focus on getting the front a little flatter. On the postive the first dent/scratch is out of the way. Best of luck with it!
I think I see what you're saying, when it started to roll, where it was tethered helped it roll. Either way def a learning experience. I think the right person with the right tools could def make it better, but It does not bother me near as much anymore.
That sucks! I've heard every dark cloud has a silver lining... You're a Texas boy so you'll survive! Like your videos would enjoy seeing something with the Nova or the Belair
Bummer man. I’d use it as an opportunity to practice learning some of the paintless dent removal methods. I’ve been looking at that harbor freight Maddox brand pulling kit to fix a little oops I did myself.
this is the reason i paid for freight shipping when i got mine, was trying to get the grey but got tired of waiting so bought the black one instead, got the 56" with the top drawers, figured it would get me more storage and take up less floor space. still a nice looking box, even with the dent.
Makes sense, unfortunately I would of had it to move it through my grass so that wouldn't of helped me as much. I agree though, even with the dent its a nice piece.
Used my homemade ramps off the gate, slide it down. That's how I unloaded mine, although mine is smaller, 400#. And I'm bigger. You just need to get the top flat, the dent on the front probably won't be a problem, other than aesthetics.
I tried that a little, but decided I didn't want to mess up the finish. The dent is only on the top and doesn't mess with the function so I've made peace with it.
@@RacerXGarage well it if bothers you, just make a wood top that hangs over, over do some PDR and if you mess up the finish you could just vinyl wrap it.
I messed with it a little to see if it would move, but didn't get much out of it. However, I agree that someone that knows what they're doing could get a lot of it out.
I think it was damaged before you picked it up ;-). If you had told them you dropped it they still would have given you a new one. It's not your fault it was damaged it was the bad packaging that didn't protect it.
I know where you're coming from, and had this thing been a little lighter perhaps I would have considered it. But its been a couple weeks now and I'm not as bothered by it anymore. Just a reminder to be more careful!
I did take the top drawer out and there is some pretty good access. I messed with it a little and decided I'd rather leave it alone instead of risk damaging the powder coat.
I dropped my brand new slate gray Series 3 56" and that's just what happens when you do everything by yourself. I see it as luck because we got the first dent out of the way.
how big is the shop? i paid 1100 for my 72 inch husky with hutch an side locker, how much was the box? the dent gives it carachter...makes you not even wanna use it..jk
Character for sure!! haha! My shop is a 30x50, I have a playlist created for it if you wanted to check it out. I think with the coupon this box was $1500 ish. I looked into the husky stuff, and the US general is a bit thicker material so I preferred it, but they're both good boxes.
I'm pretty impressed with the series 3 stuff, its built pretty well. Most of the other stuff in this price range is very thin and unstable. But I do know what you're getting at, its a gamble sometimes from HF

I'm with Jimmy on that one remove the drawer and massage some of it out

Appreciate the feedback! I have some things I need to do on the Nove here soon so I'll plan to get that into rotation before too long.

Interesting, I didn't know they had a kit. Not sure that's in my wheelhouse, but may have to look into it just out of curiosity.
Love the shop man. Looks great
Thank you so much! Thanks for checking out the video too!
Dang! Should have taken the rear wheels off your truck to get the level right and then just rolled the box into the garage.
haha, right! that would have been perfect!
Brother, don't let it drag you down. I also have to do everything solo. I damn near shit myself trying to push my 72" up my sloped driveway,
ooof, they're much, much heavier than I had originally expected. That was a task itself I'm sure!

I should have made some form of ramp, that definitely would have helped!
Use a 2x4 and hit it flat with a hammer might help a little bit

@@scottyee707 it actually does not bother me anymore, but those are good ideas!
Oo dang that sucks brother...😮
How much did that box cost you, ive been considering a 72" box from HF too.
I used a 20% off coupon, I want to say it was $1300 something after the discount. I'm really happy with it!
Nice toolbox. Sucks about the dent, but it may be a reminder that saves you future headaches.
Yup! Learn from experience!
Nice box with character nice shop new subscriber
Thank you! and Awesome, glad to have ya!
Watching this reminds me I need to go pick up my dads old toolbox and bring down here
Go get it Jeremy!
Man that socks. Hate to see that after I could tell you were excited about it.
I'm still excited, just a minor setback. It doesn't bother me much anymore, but yes preferably I wouldn't have dropped it (doh!)
Some body dollies and a soft hammer will work wonders on that dent. I'm no body guy but, I know I could get it to 80%
I messed with it a little to see if it would move, but didn't get much out of it. However, I agree that someone that knows what they're doing could get a lot of it out.
Like every 3rd ones busted that comes in. Coulda been an easy swap at the store.
I believe that, I just couldn't do it. I'm quite happy with it now, flaws and all
take it back and wait for the parking lot sale next week!! 300 off and new
haha, well I did buy this one with the 20% off coupon so it was about $300 off.
I think it was damaged before you picked it up ;-). If you had told them you dropped it they still would have given you a new one. It's not your fault it was damaged it was the bad packaging that didn't protect it.

If you don't need the full 72 length in one piece... it's cheaper to just get the 56"+ side cabinet which is exactly the same as the 72".
I did contemplate going that way, but I wanted the longer box instead of the height. I'm pretty happy with it!
Yep you really screwed that up. If you were a body and fender guy you could fix it.
Yup... But I have to admit its so functional now, I'm not noticing it. Agreed if I had those skills I could get it out.
if you take those top 2 drawers out you could probably get most of that out from tapping the inside
I did take the top drawer out and there is some pretty good access. I messed with it a little and decided I'd rather leave it alone instead of risk damaging the powder coat.
That will buff out lol
Hahaha, right! I'll get the wheel out!
It adds character
I dropped my brand new slate gray Series 3 56" and that's just what happens when you do everything by yourself.
I see it as luck because we got the first dent out of the way.
I need to learn to ask for help more often, not a trait that comes easily. I agree though, first dent is out of the way and I've made peace with it.
stick a RXG sticker on that dent never see it from airplane, ( shit happens)
hahaha that'll remedy it for sure Jerry!
That floor jack screwed you two times
I def should have looked at where it was placed at the minimum.
We should own our scars. You have. Peace.
as i said, "warts and all"

Knowing US General, it was already like that hahaha.

Your grandpa would never have made that bone head move.
