Baking Polymer Clay:
it's often in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a fingernail in it or a fingerprint, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

It must have been difficult without a pasta machine 😊, epic designs as always .🎉
Thank you my darling, you might have some idea on that. I wonder how! 🤔 😅
congrats, well done, your skinner will blend a bit faster if you put the colours at an angle, all 3 came out beautiful
Thanks Nini - Ooh. Interesting! 😉
I love the use of the back of your hand for a pallette! I actually love them all
The colors you chose were perfect for each technique
Great Job!
I'd love to join❤
Thank you Allison! Haha yeah, I'm impatient, I was already recording, so my hand was the pallette! I'd be glad to have you join! The join button is found on my main page. Look forward to having you as a member! ❤️
Just found your channel and am I glad I did! I’ve been saving Altoids tins for ages without a clue as to what to do with them. I love love love the watercolor one!
Aww! Welcome! Lovely to read your comment! 😁
Awesome congratulations, 🎈🎉🍾
That last design is called a chevron design, all are beautiful, tfs hugs from across the pond.
Thanks Karen! I just wasn't sure if there was a name for the whole thing, with the alcohol inks or not. I would have called it a zig zag 😆
@@GailJonesPolymerClay pretty much what they are. lol
I live all of them!
So proud you hit your watch hours!
Aww, thank you June! Lovely of you to say ❤️
@@GailJonesPolymerClay lol gotta love type o’s. I’m sure you know I meant love.
You always make everything look so easy.
@Esoteric_Designs I didn't even notice! 😄 the many hours I film, I just stick with it & see what happens! I make things for the joy of it, so I learn when it all goes wrong too! Haha
Girl u r an absolute Boss! Never really seen anyone actually go to that extreme with a skinner blend since I’ve started with clay 10 yrs ago rolling it from the beginning! Great job! I really do like your designs ! They are very impressive! Don’t be so hard on yourself. I am curious how the clay has held up on the tins since I didn’t see u use any liquid clay to stick it on?! If u did and I didn’t see I apologize. I can remember having to use lollipop sticks for years when I couldn’t afford a pasta machine. Used them to get certain thicknesses with the clay! Boy that was a pain. I ran to the Temu sight as soon as u said yours had bit the dust bc I’m addicted to Temu! They did have a ‘clay machine’ listed for $16 US dollars that was the cheapest I found. And u have to really look for it bc of course they listed the more expensive ones(around $30 US dollars or more) first. Loved all your designs. Best wishes. Hope to see more of your videos in the future!
Ahh. What a lovely comment! It was extreme, but I'd started before the pasta machine went to its resting place! And I wasn't going to give up! The clay I use is professional Fimo, and sculpey are both known for being quite sticky before baking, so it stuck on the tin great. I have tried to use liquid PC, but it slides about too much before baking, as a lot of my designs are 3D, I found it a lot harder. I regularly use a grey tin that I decorated for a video & it's still going strong 😁 thanks for watching!
Ok I just joined your channel.
Thank you so much for supporting my channel Leslie!
Nice video. Did you notice that your violin on your shelf fell on its own? 13:55
Thank you! I watched it again 8 times and zoomed in and yeah, it sure did! Spooky! 👻
OH NO! Not the pasta machine! I guess Amazon is getting some business soon.
Haha - isn't it lucky I like making 3D things!
Your wrists had to hurt big time! But great results!
Thank you, Carolyn! Yeah, I'm doing something entirely different in the next video! Haha 🤣
Nice blend using just a hand roller. I can see why your hands are in pain
Yes! I thought it was going to be an easy one! Glad I powered on through!
