There are multiple occasions of footage of the the synths, you just have to watch the full concert, which other than one legend of a reactor, nobody has done. This wasn't music, it was art on a very different level of anything you would see today.

This is the expanded band the white keyboard player put it together. What is amazing is that adding 5 people didn't change them, it's still the talking heads just more so.
I caught this tour in 1983 at Red Rocks, Colorado. Great experience. And it was clear that Bernie Worrell was driving the band from his synth. The pulses and grooves that we're hearing are his. Amazing feel. More obvious when hearing them live because the sub-bass synth sounds could be better physically felt.

If you want to trace that fact down even further, the Radio Head song that the band got their name from was writen about the actor Stephen Tobolowsky (Ned Ryerson Groundhogs Day).

May I suggest "Born Under Punches", live in Rome in 1980. I agree that Jonathan Demme's wholly encompassing view may be unsurpassed. However, that shit from Rome may make you realize it wasn't all directorial slight of hand. Las Cabezas Que Hablan were magic and it wasn't limited to Demme's cinematic conjuring.

I caught both the Remain in Light tour in 1980 and the Stop Making Sense tour in 1983. It seemed to me that the RIL tour focused more on the music while the SMS tour focused more on the visuals.
The film was directed by Jonathan Demme, who went on to direct many great films, such as The Silence of the Lambs

It's funny that Tina didn't even know how to play an instrument when she joined the band. She was just Chris the drummer's girlfriend. But she leaned how to play bass and is playing bass and the bass synth on this song.
This was a great concert. I wasn't aware that there would be touring members and didn't know who they were at the time, when I saw this tour. I had seen Talking Heads twice before with just the four core members. I had pretty good seats. It was fun.
Bernie Worrell and guitarist/keybordist Jerry Harrison playing the keys stage right on this song. They are seen more during other songs.
I love when David points the mic at the cameraman.
