i bought a book like almost a year ago as a read for my trip to amsterdam and I read like 30 pages in this time but I picked it up again about two months ago and just started my fourth book I'm honestly so happy that I started reading again lol also nice vid
I’ve read Adam silvera’s books, and have given all of them a 4.5-5 star.I swear he puts something in his books to make them so addictive.I seriously can’t wait to read the next book that comes out in September,bc I read the duo logy last summer and have been thinking about it since last summer🤭🤭
REALL!! i am so excited to read his other books since i’ve only read TBDATE but i feel guilty buying new books when i still have so many unread on my bookshelf so i’ll have to wait a little. his writing is SO ADDICTIVE tho!!
@@marthadebloom yesss.i recommend this other duology that he make.the first one is “what if it’s us”and the other one is “here’s to us”.It will make you feel a lot of emotions😭but it’s so worth it though!it’s also on kindle unlimited if you have that!
Oh my goodness you NEED to read catcher in the the next, Great video Definitely am subscribing!! But let me tell you- I read catcher in the rye for the first time beginning of the year when my dad told me to read it and I- TEARS I sobbed my heart out at the end of that book and I have never cried at a book before. I have now read it four times and annotated it to death favorite book and that book is the one that got me into reading again for the first time in years.
i used to be very wary of dog earing my pages and always wanted my books to look pristine but last year i grew out of that and there’s something so beautiful about a book that looks loved and appreciated, when there’s scribbles on pages, little dents here and there. it makes it your OWN and incredibly unique.
Animal Farm Book: Yes, I mainly dislike Animal Farm due to it's historical inaccuracy(doesn't understand Marx nor the Russian Revolution, it is an allegory or metaphor for the Revolution really. snowball=Trotsky, Napoleon=Stalin, Old Major=Marx+Lenin) and how it portrays working people(Boxer=Russian workers) as hopelessly dumb(also I dislike the movie adaptation being made by the CIA for propaganda purposes). Author: Then Orwell(Arthur Blair) himself I dislike(this is very lite, more like despise?) as he was a colonial cop in South East Asia(he hated the local Burmese or "yellow faces" as he called them), he made a list of suspected communists for the British IRD and next to certain people he commented things like "very anti white(this was towards Paul Robeson, a Black actor)" or things like "Jew, Jewess, Jewish(towards people like Charlie Chaplin and Isaac Deutscher for 2 examples)" and he tried to R* his Girlfriend repeatedly and the 1984 Julia is based off of her(and Julias stuff in 1984 is practically an R* novel, the protagonist basically is thinking of R*ing her in his mind(R* Fantasy is the term iirc) and she says she knows what he's thinking and is accepting of it and throws herself on him. Idk but if I found that someone was having R* Fantasies of me I would leave, cut contact, and set up safety precautions if they come after me)
Anyways, on a different note this video has actually been a contributing factor in getting me back to reading. I'm now re-reading the Trials of Apollo series that I really enjoyed a few years ago and to hopefully go from there to other books(thinking Anna Karenina after the series) I will continue to struggle on getting reading back as a hobby than the YT addiction of mine currently.
It’s so pretty to see someone picking up books related to their own opinion and not just popular books on TikTok
i need to get off social media for the summer I SWEAR
This deserves more views! It’s relatable and has helped me get off social media. Love it!!💗💗
