She's an adult? Not in her opinion. Every single friggin' podcast, she goes on for ten minutes about how 18-19 isn't really an adult, but still a child, despite what the gov't says. I do not understand her problem with this. Fine, she was/is a late bloomer--but she needs to learn that her experience isn't the same as most people's. Otherwise she'll keep bringing down other Gen-Z people who are perhaps more mature, like the other two of the Three Girdies who (shockingly) deserted her.

A tip for all people struggling with anxiety and no coping mechanisms that work, is to play stress and anxiety music quietly in the background of a nice book and lie in bed and read xx

Like if you don’t read that’s how it feels, reading 3 pages like 7 times cause you don’t get what you read and then you just stop reading. Or like you’d tart it, get a few pages in, go do something else and then just never pick it up. I love how everything that happens to her is so relatable with exactly where I personally and in my life, it’s so weird but kinda cool.

@UCuMogplbhpPPJ0D0LsMkoWw It’s even more sad that you’re hate-watching a girl who built her own career and calling her spoilt just because she can afford a 3.5 million dollar mansion. She definitely earned that by herself, her family isn’t even that rich, her dad’s an oil painter so you could guess how much he earns. She’s shown the house she’s grown up in and it wasn’t big at all so don’t need to say that she was “spoiled” by her dad just because you’re jealous of the career she’s built for herself. She earned all of that through major brand deals and sponsorships by high end brands like Louis Vuitton. She’s an influencer, which basically means a rolemodel and she’s definitely a goddamn rolemodel with the example she’s setting for millions of her fans. At least she’s not like those tiktokers who go out to parties during the pandemic without even wearing a mask. Hate on those types of “influencers” all you want. And also I don’t need a “19 year old UA-camr” to get me to do stuff, it’s just she shows the joy in doing the stuff that it makes me want to do it too. I’ve stopped reading since I was 12 but I might get back into seeing how important it could be although my schedule is always really packed with school and other responsibilities. Sometimes we need some people to get us into the right track and show us what’s good for us whenever we forget about these kinds of joys.

    Book recommendations:
Based on what you said about enjoying having more perspective on human history - try Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.
If you want a lighter intro to mind-bending nonfiction then try Hyperspace or The Future Of The Mind, both by Michio Kaku.
For Classics, I'd recommend The Odyssey by Homer and Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. Dostoevsky has a lesser heralded novel called The Idiot, which personally I love more because it's like a dramatic 19th century soap opera and some of the characters are ridiculous, lol.
If you want something way more chilled and funnier to read then you can't go wrong with Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, etc).
Just a few suggestions, I'm glad you're enjoying reading more!

@@melodieaka4066 I believe that books have become lost in a society where social media has taken over people's lives. When bored, people tend to go straight to their phones and laptops instead of picking up a hardcover book. Students and adults read textbooks and their school books, but are they doing it for enjoyment? Probably not because they are required to read the textbook or that school book. But going to a library and getting a book to read for enjoyment is something that we should be normalizing instead of going to something that we use every day which is social media.
