Lovely tribute Brad. First became aware of Denny through the Moody Blues hit song Go Now a very very long time ago.Talented singer and songwriter. You have to be better than good to rate a place in a McCartney band, and Denny was certainly that. As the years go by, these kind of losses will, unfortunately, become more and more common. Only a few of the 60's giants still recording and fewer still on the road. Paul , Ringo, Stones, Dylan and maybe just a handful of others. Enjoy them while you can. RIP Denny!

Hi Brad I’ve been busy today, just saw your video now. I was certainly saddened to hear of Denny Laine’s passing which I saw in Facebook this AM. You did a terrific job in this video honoring him. In my collection, I have a CD by Denny Laine which he did a cover of Paul’s Band on The Run tracks. As Joe Mayo said in his video, it’s really something that he passed away on the anniversary of Band on the Run’s release. As much as we mourn his passing, we take comfort to appreciate his music and knowing he’s in a better place. Thanks again for your great tribute.

I never met the guy but this has really upset me. I remember back in school a million years ago drawing pictures of the Wings big W on my school books and writing Paul, Linda, Denny, Jimmy and Joe. I really appreciated it when he stuck with Paul and Linda when the other two Denny and Henry quit just before Band On The Run. I always felt sad when Wings finished after the Japan incident. I’ve played Paul’s and Denny’s music almost every day for 50 years. A sad day for me. Thanks for this video.

Denny Laine (Penny Lane) played with Phil Ackril in the Diplomats. Ackril went on to play the role of Vivian Stanshall and then the role of Paul McCartney after the real Paul died in 1966. Denny Laine knew Paul was really William Shepherd aka Billy Shears.

Hi Beatle Brad I found out about his passing on Facebook. I knew he was very ill but wasn't expecting that. He had interstitial lung disease which there's no cure. I read online that it's rare and there are only 200,000 cases of it in the US a year.
