I love Laurence Fishburne as Ike, man. He should have won the Academy Award that year. This movie is just classic from everything to the music to the acting to the fashion.
It's given that those youths/background dancers/extras were 80s teens and/or 90s young adults at the time this scene was filmed. I can only imagine how ecstatic their parents were [who were their age during the 60s and 70s] when thaw saw their kids dressed-up accurately to their era... it was surely both nostalgic and magical for them to see their youthful days revived by their children even for just a few minutes. 😃😃😃

Tina was the stuff back then and the dancers had it going on. I didn't set an account on youtube in 2008 but I could remember dancingbhard to this and I did again when I played it. Tina was well built, danced classy, dressed decent and talented. I like the music that's out now, I'm not that exclusive but that was back when people danced and didn't act crazy in the crowds but I like the movie and that outfit she got on? Whoo.

i showed this exact clip a few years ago for my high school project on the 60s. Everybody loved it. Angela Bassett was phenomenal in this role. I believed every second of the movie that she was Tina. I wish she could snag another role like this and get the Oscar she deserves.
