The BS Stonefly

The Baird/Shorty Stonefly is a mashup of a pattern from friend Eric Baird, a great fly tier in his own right, and my replacement of rubber legs in place of those pesky knotted Pheasant tail legs on his original. You can adapt this pattern to suit your own needs by altering hook size, abdomen color and wing color for whatever you like.

Rib: Brassie Red Wire
Abdomen: Black Beaver Dubbing
Wing: Medium Coastal Deer Hair
Legs: Fine Round Rubber Legs
