What a great man is David Lomas. I just found him today, and Im so glad. Kathy from Iowa, USA.. 74 years old and a widow these stories just melt my heart and give me joy.
I cried through this one, as it hit so close to home for me. I know his feelings of always wondering who you look like, where your roots are as an adoptee. I also know the joy of finally being held in the arms of your Father and seeing who you look like. Finding my Norwegian ancestry and being welcomed by my 4 half siblings. Sadly my Mother had passed away, but I found 2 half siblings and a while village, so to speak, of cousins on her side. My Grandmother was one of 15...so you do the math ! All have welcomed me with open arms. My Father will be 92 this year and we talk everyday ! I'm so happy he found his Father and that hole in his heart has been filled !! Great series !!
I’m not crying😭😭😭Wow!!! I’m so happy for him. As a Polynesian they’ve welcomed him and they won’t ever let him go . This show just made all his dreams come true 🙏💛💛💛
Sad to hear his life story. Kalofa e, God finally gave him a good woman to share his life with. He found his father & his half siblings and what a joy that was. Happy ending to this young family.
This lifestory was soo moving, I felt tears in my eyes with compassion and happiness, that father and son found each other in the end. Thanks through the help of David Logan Many regards from Western Australia 🦘🦘🦘
Amazing program, it made me cry. Beautiful wife and daughter with great support...Wonderful family reunion ever after. Lovely people. Take care and God bless.❤❤❤❤❤
I think this was one of the best episodes I've ever watched. I'm so happy you found your father. And I could tell more than ever your father wanted to be found. Happy New Year 2022 with much great health and happiness! Congratulations on your new arrival! Hugs from Alaska USA 💜🤗🌹👍❤️
I’m also adopted me and my brother from Samoa 33 yrs ago into a white family was very hard to explain growing up saying your family didn’t want you ,definitely when your adopted parents are white so it always was bought up 😒I said it didn’t affect me but it really made me ashamed and me and my brother have been in and out of jail all our life sometimes not more so now but for 25 years of my life I thought and had so much hate for my real birth parents and think what could be worse then a life of jail 10 yrs of 25 yr old I thought I definitely wasn’t better off given away But now having kids of my own I now understand that I was given such a big opportunity in coming to Australia and I was very blessed and now I’m so grateful
That was amazing. When the lost child see their missing longed for parent, the little child in them have all those suppressed emotions of hurt, abandonment and longing to reflect re surface. He was blessed to keep his soft side and become an awesome husband and father. So many use their early struggles as a means to excuse their bad behavior. Connecting with his family and being able to reflect with his dad will only increase his good nature it seems..... A nature similar to his dad's. Guidance and Blessings.
You know what made me feel sad. When he said he doesn't feel good enough for his daughter. It's crazy because there is not another man, in this universe, but him, who is good enough for his daughter. No other man will love her like him!
It’s buzzy looking at his dad Martin because it reminds me of my dad who is Samoan / with german heritage . I noticed Samoan Germans are fare and have light hair too. Much love to all my Samoan Germans out there 🇼🇸🇩🇪
You are soo right. I just had a cry watching this. I am Samoan/German but I never got to meet my dad. I was told many times he asked after me. But he had a family. Mum married a kiwi and he was only dad I knew. I was soo blessed for the love he gave me till he passed at age 57. I was asked if I want to meet my dad I said No. I don’t know that side. But how I looked it best to leave some things as they. My life is blessed and I know wo I am. I am glad for this man who had an unfair life but he been rewarded with a wife who loves him n an adorable daughter to carry his genes and I hope next Pepe is a boy❤❤
Yup, halfcast is a word I often saw earlier - Now, the interesting thing is, not only from those seeing themselves as "flawless whites" but from others among my own roots that was even more mixed. David, get into it with your head up, you ARE samoan, than they cannot tak away from you. You don't have to speak, or spend all your time digging into your ancestors culture. As a 45 year old you have plenty of time to find out - Here's my best tip: Be the best ambassador you can be for your people. There's really not much else you can do - Teach your kids about your origin and make sure they feel your pride, but also teach them that this world isn't always in their favor. I'm 60 now, and I taught my blond little girl to embrace her dads roots. I'm of Inuit descent of those migrants that crossed from Canada recently into Greenland (Greenland are mixed from whalers, scandinavians etc.) and those shouting up highest are the people trying hard to be more Inuk than me .. There's no such thing as "being superior" other than it reveals their weakness. I hope you find yours before resting into peace, in the meantime stand tough brother!
I do appreciate my own upbringing in NZ so to see so many others are not so fortunate, I love the fact that they do get the answers they seek. Such lovely sad stories - but beautiful to know.
You can see the German features through the dads face even though his skin shows a Samoan complexion 😍😍so happy for this unit to God be the Glory for happy endings and everything 🙏🙏🙏❤
David Lomas I have been watching several of your videos and I love the way you work. Not only you are a master investigator but a true master at putting families together with so much delicacy and love. I look forward to many many more of your lovely videos!
I'm sobbing Just makes me realise how lucky I was to have my parents and siblings And tremendously sad for all the children who must grow up without parents
@@jamesstpatrick731 oh yeah? Then what about Joseph fritzl and what he did to his daughter keeping her locked in a basement and fathering 7 children of hers? What about the likes of Tom Jones who refused his son and even after a paternity test proved he was the father, he has still not met him 30 years on (did I mention his son is homeless?)? As I said, blood is not necessarily thicker than water, anybody who thinks it is has lived a privileged life (good for you)
@@michaelmichael8314 The meaning of blood is thicker than water is that Family relationships are more important than non family relationships. A few sickos harming their own family doesnt change this fact.
Sadly - New Zealand, seems to be swamped, with alot of lost children. New Zealand, come on, for these people. I understand Beacuse I'm one of these lost people & I understand their loss, ultimately this problem really needs to be addressed seriously, people take responsibility of your actions when making children..honestly stop this cycle & take responsibility of your lustful, actions or wear a condom, "seriously" You can buy them it's quit easy & reasonably cheap: & by doing that you can stop this pain for these people who feel lost in this big wide world. Take responsibility for your actions. & give back these beautiful people a sense of belonging, they at least deserve that.
I am so happy that he finally got to meet his father. It is very sad that the child had to reach out AGAIN for his dad. The father dropped the ball royally back then when the son tried to reach out the first time.
@Pathfinder I get the feeling that his father has more than just a heart condition. Seems like he's got the start of some sort of dementia. That would explain why he didn't call anyone about the postponements. Poor old guy.
David Lomas job well done I know that family back home in Samoa they used to have a property at the corner of Sinamoga and Alafua its a very big family too halfcast Germans
Beautifull, beautifull, beautifull story,David L.amaizing with his life story,.this story i watch have always tears in my eyes,.what amaizing story,.Congratulations,.David..

Ohh WOW another crying session for me.... I got to finally meet my father when I was 31 years old. God bless this family
Its sad when young mothers adopt their child out thinking it was best for them. I see not all adopted parents were perfect.
It's even more devastating and sad when they are drugged and their babies were stolen and ripped from them and adopted out.
I’m also adopted me and my brother from Samoa 33 yrs ago into a white family was very hard to explain growing up saying your family didn’t want you ,definitely when your adopted parents are white so it always was bought up 😒I said it didn’t affect me but it really made me ashamed and me and my brother have been in and out of jail all our life sometimes not more so now but for 25 years of my life I thought and had so much hate for my real birth parents and think what could be worse then a life of jail 10 yrs of 25 yr old
I thought I definitely wasn’t better off given away
But now having kids of my own I now understand that I was given such a big opportunity in coming to Australia and I was very blessed and now I’m so grateful
