god damn. why don't they release this in the US? If they changed the screen to 3:2 and put a standard US keyboard on it, i think it would be popular among software engineers, linux users and IT professionals.
thebadness it is too expensive. I doubt how many people would buy it. Besides, I suppose Americans love Toughbook more. Lastly, you can get English keyboard. Call Panasonic for details.
@@lawrencechen7521 i'd buy this any day. This is literally my dream machine. A laptop with all the ports, removable battery and a blu-ray reader? Oh man that's heaven. I would buy one off of conic's website but the $4000 price and the japanese keyboard with weird european style enter key destroys my dream of having this thing. Feelsbad
cf qv series is 3:2 ... there is even a non-touchscreen model which is only 879g ... (and I think non-touchscreen model is sturdier than touchscreen models ...)
Divo Otiroll They support Dual channels but you can not replace it since they opted to LPDDR3, which means, Onboard. The only machine I know still use legacy design is Fujitsu U7 series. They provide 2 sodimm slots, you can configure it yourself.
thebadness Toughbook is a laptop division of Panasonic usually served B2B and professional fields only. That’s why. As for Let’s note, this is their Japanese domestic name, aimed similar markets like Elitebook of Hp or ThinkPad of Lenovo. There are other example, like Toshiba. Their Japanese name was Dynabook
@@lawrencechen7521 i dunno, considering the american market doesn't have any laptops like this at all, i think they'd have a good niche market to sell to. Mainly developers and IT pro's. The toughbook line and dell's rugged line that's available in the US are ridiculously big and bulky. This laptop on the other hand seems to just have the same design feature as normal laptops from the early 2000's. The high price tag seems to be because this is a JDM product. If they were to sell this thing in the united states without being an import JDM product, the price should be quite a bit lower. This would be the ideal time for Lenovo to stand out in the market since they are one of the few laptop manufacturers that still sells in the US market and makes laptops for more "pro" use. However instead of making machines that "pro" users want, they're making their laptops more and more like everyone elses. Doesn't make any sense.
can anybody comment on the speaker(s) ?? is it better than on the SZ series ?? (the mono-speaker on the SZ is very bad ... I see the SV series has stereo speakers so it might be better ?? ... or is it still very bad ?? )

Amazing. Does this have bios settings or software to limit battery charge to 80% to preserve the battery?
hi, could this computer make music with pro tools ?is 16G smali for pro tools?
Hi. do you know if the ram stick(s) are soldered to the mainboard or not?
@SFseis Does it have dual channel ram (2 sticks of ram) or single channel (only one?)
