I am too. I just discovered SAJB about three weeks ago when I was looking for a tune we played when I was in stage band in high school in the early '60's. Came across them accidentally and can't get enough. Andrea is so multi-talented! When I close my eyes to listen I can't believe this is a group of youngsters ages 7 - 20. Joan Chamarro does a fantastic job with them.

Amazing! Wonderful with the trumpet and fabulous with her singing. And to go from one to the other with not even the click of her fingers! This lady is in a Class of One!
Don't forget the saxes (alto, soprano and the occasional tenor) and her scatting skills! This young lady rocks!!

Is there any instrument Joan Chamorro doesn't play? I've seen him on bass, baritone sax, tenor sax. What a great teacher he is to get these young players to this level.

Flowing easily through Andrea's videos is the hallmark of her playing trumpet first, followed by vocal. The improvisation is there, the soft, swinging jazz phrasing; the sure feel for melody. The Spanish accented English helps too, as for sure does her calm on-stage demeanor, all in keeping with the overall loveliness of the singer.
This is a classic performance. This cut will be around for a long, long time!
Just a shame iTunes does not have it!
Excellent band. I watched many of your performances, you are all masters and you love to play together and enjoy listening to each other. I think that's the ultimate goal of any musician. I hope you continue performing together for many years.

EVA FERNANDEZ certainly is one very MULTI-TALENTED musical artist.

You said it, John! Some of the other commentators here should just keep quiet. This girl is a musical genius. Doubt it? Switch over to her playing Georgia on My Mind, where she plays a most gorgeous solo on TENOR SAX no less! and brilliantly!!. She has great jazz feeling and execution. To be able to improvise competently on these two completely different instruments--at the age of SIXTEEN! Holy Christ!-- is nothing less than astonishing!
She is just as good or better than most americans iv seen the top jazz players most of usa is into rock and crappy rap to bad all the greats are gone

Primeramente debo decir que estoy subyugado por esta Artista y lleno de admiración por la labor y calidad que se puede apreciar en todo evento que el Maestro Joan Chamorro aborda y conduce. El idioma jazzístico esta ahí, sin grandilocuencias, con frescura y como dirían los jazzistas "right on the pocket". Los integrantes del "grup" son de acabada técnica y gran sensibilidad. Los standards de jazz suenan nuevos y uno no tarda en volver a enamorarse de ellos. Andrea; brava!, Joan; gracias por darnos tanta calidad en todo lo que haces.
Totalmente de acuerdo, Joan es un animal del escenario, se le ve disfrutar con lo que hace, transmite unas buenas vibraciones tremendas aunque cuando hablas con él te diga que "solo es que soy muy expresivo". En directo, es una maravilla. Y ojo, Ignasi Terraza al piano es para verlo, bueno, mejor dicho, para oirlo.

Of the hundreds of tunes by the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, if I was allowed to listen to only one, this would have to be the one. It's full of energy and swing. Andrea is superb, Eva and the dancers have so much fun, the band is spot on. I always smile when I watch and it makes me want to dance with abandon. Thank you Joan Chamarro, for this wonderful arrangement and direction thst brings out all the music.

You are so lucky in Spain, there is no chance that music of this genre would broadcast on UK television, our so called "National' broadcaster the BBC which we all have to pay is only obsessed with rock and pop. That is why your posts on UA-cam are so valuable to us, thank you.
Yes they do... on BBC Four. They play non-popular music like jazz, classical, etc.
@@Thomas15 Are you talking of radio or BBC four TV? The vast majority of their music output is endless rock and pop.
Devon Dandy The TV channel. They currently have the Young Musician of the Year which is a classical show. Then there’s the Proms. And there’s BBC3. Agreed that there’s more pop, rock, dance and rap for obvious reasons, but there are also others stuff.
@@Thomas15 Daytime radio channels form the BBC are almost completely devoid of any jazz or popular music prior to the 1960's. they have 'play lists' that exclude melodic music in favour of today's wailing pop sounds. There is not daytime radio channel worth listening to.
Billie and Lester's slow-burn Brunswick version is my all-time music in heaven, but this version in its own happy way is just as good and wonderful!
