I have been in the hype train for this manga for so long I am still shocked on the fact Blue Lock hasn't got an anime adaptation yet. A few chapters in and you'll ask the same question.
I think the reason is because its not on a ShonenJump unlike Haikyuu, but it was popular in Japan. Isayama praised it and even a former japanese football player endorsed it.
@@renaria3160 because football is a team game, where an individual player will rarely ever win you a game, especially if the rest of the team is sub-par, cough cough Japanese national team (if they had an ultimate striker) cough cough. There's a reason why Messi and Ronaldo haven't won a World Cup.
@@meteoraPOW no have you read the manga? They do work together. But to bring out the best of their ability they have to "devour" each other first. The point of blue lock was to bring out each player's ego and make them the best in Japan. Not hold each other back with with teamwork or friendship or whatever.
@@renaria3160 that wasn't my point, my point was just adressing the "realism" of the series, of which one really shouldn't expect from sports manga (not a bad thing; you gotta create drama and excitement somehow, afterall). If we were being realistic, a team of centre forwards playing against a national team with players from the likes of Real Madrid (Itoshi Sae), then they would be getting their asses handed to them. Obviously, this is manga, and that just wouldn't be fun, nor worth anybodies time, so I'm not gonna bash it for that. I was not disputing the series itself, but the concept of Blue Lock if it was grounded in realism. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
I binged this manga in a week and I believe it has the potential to be one of the greatest sports manga/anime ever made. If it gets an anime adaption that can do it great justice I will become huge
OMG YES, I read this. Bro, this is soooo, good. I like the fact that this manga has like non-stop action, and no bad arcs. I mean, looking back on it, it only gets better and better, even though the first act was already so good. Also my fav character is the person with white hair. You know who I’m talking about.
I used to play soccer but stopped because of studies and I got into gaming more. I read "Days" but didn't make me get back up to soccer, until reading this manga. I immediately bought a soccer ball and practiced again (at home ofc).
I checked this out after watching some of your goblin slayer abridged. Great stuff! I love your delivery. You’re one of those people who can read the phone book and make it funny.
*inhale snifffffff* You have me sold with that abridging of Bakugo Kurosaki. Also, voicing/abridging of a manga I've never heard of is something I didn't know I'd appreciate.
It's soooo good. I just don't like how certain people don't consider it a psychological manga. It's more psychological than sports at times. It's dark for a sports manga.
The Kunigami you did would have made an interesting plot. Instead of high schooling soccer players, the JFU brings in 300 prolific killers in a institute, force them to compete in a football experiment to create Japan's newest national team to win a world cup and that final team will receive a pardon from the Japanese government. If you fail to qualify to the top 40 or less, you get executed..almost like deadman's wonderland with football in the twist. Because I'm speaking like this..someone from the internet is going to take this idea and make a manga out of it..
Would be nice if production IG could make the anime adaptation because the art style is similar to haikyu!! So I think they could nail the animation and everything.

Every other sports manga: "We're going to win this! We can't do this without each other."
Bluelock: I'm going to end this man's whole career.
Precisely why it's unrealistic
