it depends because this is a mechanical engine so it can run quite independently but if it uses electronics (ecu) then it will be much harder to

The 1Z should be able to do this too. Just know your wires and your fuel lines and everything should work.

We have so many population of Peugeot 806 2.0L Hdi
(DW10ATED/L3, RHZ) 8 valves as most population in Indonesia.Most of those engines+gearbox are old enough and need to replace with low mileage ex accident car, we have huge opportunity to exchange, could you able to supply with completed ancillaries (harness wiring without cutting) until ignition key & gearbox set, used but still in excellent condition, no need further overhauled works anymore, plug & play, ex Peugeot 806 or 406 Hdi (RHZ).
The market opportunity, could be reached more than 10 -15 units
