@@Aamogh-um6md i think taylor was one of the artists who *popularized* the 80s synth pop sound and brought it to the frontlines of mainstream pop while also integrating her signature storytelling songwriting into it. i think the fact that she transitioned fully into pop from her previous country rock/pop fusion sound without sacrificing her songwriting is what made the record truly shine. that being said, not every track on 1989 is a lyrical masterpiece. shake it off is, well, shake it off. just dumb fun. bad blood is cringe and just pisses me off. and while some songs like i wish you would and how you get the girl are cute and well written...they're just forgettable to me. and i know other swifties will accuse me of blasphemy for this, but im just tired of blank space.

Reputation, a lot of wasted potential and not my taste. 9. Speak Now, while I love the song Mean, the album is too long, and most of the songs sound completely unoriginal and uninteresting. I've never gotten its intense fandom. 10. Taylor Swift (Debut): Other than Our Song, this album is obviously Taylor's starting point, and she started in a genre she's evolved out of.
